This Freezer lights the way
This freezer was installed in mid October with it's companion fridge (K14827SD). It replaced our old Westinghouse upright Freezer which was frost free as well and has performed really well. It was a hard decision to make, but as we desperately needed to replace the fridge, it has been replaced. The new freezer is 300 Litres, which was also hard as we felt we only needed 200L (the size of the old one), but working with it now, I'm happy to have the extra space and we are managing to fill it up. The real 'wow' factor is opening the door and havin...g a light come on that lights up the drawers, it's a real hit with our friends and is useful when a drawer is open. We've gone from wire racks to drawers, and even though the drawers take up more space, I'm happy with them and they haven't yet resricted what I can store in them by size. The advantage of drawers over wire racks is the containment of spillage and also better looking, though we didn't suffer from much spillage over 12 years. There are glass shelves under each drawer that can take 25kg loading, so I guess a frozen turkey can be accommodated with the removal of 2 drawers if need be. The top drawer is like a tray and can be used to freeze individual small items like chocolate dipped strawberries, however, we've only used it to quick chill bottles of drink so far. Overall, it does what a freezer should, but with a little more style. Internal drawers and glass shelving, internal light, top drawer/tray quick chill and small items freeze, sturdy construction, great finish Expensive
