Miele T 7744 C Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi my dryer dries for 1 cycle but the next cycle it trips the power we have taken it apart and cleaned it out does anybody have any answers? could it be the heat pump is faulty? we have also tried it on cool cycle still trips. thx
I have loved my condenser dryer for years. However about two years ago, the dryer stopped drying. Miele advised me to buy a new one. Considering the waste disposing of this item and then the resources used to make a new one, why, can’t this one be repaired? We already have too much waste in the world, why create more! I would like this one repaired.
Have you contacted a Miele repair specialist? Sometimes it is cheaper to replace than to repair, unfortunately
No, I hadn’t. I rang Meile to see what the issue would be, hoping it would only be a replacement part. I was advised to buy a new one. I am also concerned about the waste that’s created by making all these items disposable. We will soon run out of space to inhabit.
I have been trying to get a Miele Service technician to show up for 9 months. I cannot get them to pick up the phone or show up. I will have to buy a new tumble dryer, but I won't be going near Miele again, because when they offer no service, even a small issue means they are no better than scrap metal.
Can i hang this on the wall? Or does it need to be stacked ?

IS t 4477c CONDENSER DRYER SUIITABLE FOR WALL MOUNTING?
Realistically no! You can purchase a stacking kit so that it sits atop a maching Miele washing machine.
Dryer doesn't go the full time for drying even though it is set on auto setting, say for cotton (1.04 in time), filter and water is cleaned and empty? Any suggestions?
Set it to 'extra dry' 1.04 is far to short a time for most loads: some rhings like doona covers tend to gobble up any other washing so things don't dry well. 1 40 produces better results, i never use anything other than Extra Dry. Good luck.
Also clean the condenser found behind the bottom left panel (lever this out with eg a screwdriver).
My T7744C tumble dryer keeps displaying "clean airways" message and stopping before the clothes are dried. I see this is a common complaint. I notice that only one of the exhaust grids at the bottom of the door is blowing hot air out. All filters are regularly cleaned of all lint. Please advise.
A technician advised me that the insides of the dryer need a good cleanout and they take it to the workshop and use a gurney and take it apart to clean out all lint and dust. I clean lint every cycle that the dryer is used but apparently it needs this internal cleanout as well. Best to get a technician out to check.
They say'vacuum out the air channels.' Another option is to ring the meile helpline. My drier is still going, but would not get another miele drier again!
That is correct, only one grid at the front will blow air out. Have you ever removed your condenser and cleaned it? Refer to your owners manual for this. Also you can change the sensitivity of the clean airways light, again owners manual tells you how to do this.
Thank you for your responses. I will try vacuuming it, and will see about the sensitivity of the light. I have cleaned the condenser, though. My dryer at the farm, identical to this, works day and night - as it sometimes has to, with never a hiccup or problem. Even though the dryer exhausts through the front of the machine, could there be a problem with air circulation? The farm dryer is free-standing. The one with the problem is built into a cabinet.
if you find the red light and "Clean Airways" comes on all the time, you need to remove the fluff and debris from the heater. Remove the rear oval looking steel panel, see a square steel heater box. undo with two screws lift off, and compress air blow out all the fluff on the heater coils. 10 minute job. fixed
