Miele T 8627 WP / T 8827 WP Questions & Answers
VerifiedI have the T8627 WP dryer. I do not have the dimple on tne front panel. I have pushed in tne location as per all instructions i have seen it will not open. Is it the same opening mechanism.. Thanking you in advance.
Good morning Tony, Thanks for your question. A lever is required to open the service door on this model. If the lever is no longer attached to the drawer, a thin blunt object can be used (butter knife). The instructions have a step-by-step guide. Please download a copy of the user instructions from the Miele website - external link
Hi there. My 8827 WP is no longer working when the drain hose is connected to an outlet, after a minute the "Empty out container" indicator light comes on and the buzzer sounds. It works normally when I connect the drain hose to the condensed water container. Should I clean the drain hose, and how?
Good morning Slobodan, Thank you for your question. The drain hose can be removed from the dryer and flushed with water to remove any blockage. Please refer to page 47 of the user guide for instructions. The user guide can be downloaded via the Miele website - external link
Miele T 8627 WP I have problem the clothes are not drying and there is little water in the condenser unit. And a buzzing noise sometimes Kind Regards Raymond
Hello
Good morning Raymond. Thank you for your question. Please clean the filters completely, removing any built-up detergent residue with rinsing (plinth filter included). Also, ensure the air intake vent is vacuumed. Check that the drain hose is not blocked with residue and clean it as required. Full instructions on cleaning can be located in the user guide. If you do not have a copy of this guide, please download a copy via the Miele website - external link Noises from the appliance such as buzzing, generally indicate the compressor is operating and should not be of concern. If this does not assist, Miele recommends scheduling a service call - external link Alternatively, please feel free to contact a member of our Customer Care Team at 1300 464 353. Hi there My Miele T8827WP sounds weird when the blower motor starts. I have dismantled the blower motor to get a better view of what's happening when the motor is activated and it looks like the motor wants to run both ways at the same time. The motor is working fine in both directions as I tested it by running a direct power source. Is there anyone out there that might have experienced the same problem? Regards Kenneth
Hi there, my Meile dryer is blowing the main switch board. It has had new brushes fitted and a full clean out of fluff but when it was tested with a load of towels it starts fine but will then blow fuse after 5-10 minutes. Any ideas..could it be Thermostat or heater?

We have had a T8627 WP Drier for 13 years and it has been great. I've always cleaned all of the filters regularly and the only trouble we have had is that the drum brushes wore out last year. I replaced them and that returned it to normal running. A few weeks ago it started vibrating a few minutes into the drying process. The vibration came and went intermittently. Now it is doing the vibration it has stopped drying clothes. I have identified that the vibration cuts in and out when the electric fan that blows air through the condenser starts and stops.
I have a feeling this might be a fatal problem but I really don't want to trash it unnecessarily.
I am a tradie, but not an electrician so am OK with basic trouble shooting but diagnosing this one might be beyond my level of expertise.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
It's still working fine since new around 13 years ago. I put one set of new filters in about five years ago. Does up to three loads per day. I'm expecting to die one of these days but so far all good.

I have owned a Miele t8627 wp since new. My dryer is regularly stopping and displaying clean plinth filter. It is not completing its cycle and not completely drying its load. I have cleaned and now replaced all the filters. I have heard that this may be related to a faulty part. Can you indicate whether this is a common problem and easily fixed or should I discard the dryer
Our dryer stops half way and the buzzer goes off. When I re-start the buzzer goes again... any suggestions?
Can the T8827WP have the drum replaced
The empty container light comes in then dryer won’t work
Hi Gail Have you checked if the filters need cleaning?
Our T8627WP has been working perfectly for years. Yesterday it started tripping fuses. Have done the basic checking but before calling for service was wondering if there was something else I could check?
I had same problem with my 8627,Had Miele tech come out and he told me it was a known problem with this model can’t remember the part but he replaced it and no charge not even the call out fee.Make sure you use the genuine Miele technician do not fall for the so called Miele experts as they will charge you.
Will do thanks!
did either of you ever work out what part needed replacement to cure the blowing fuse? Thanks!

Please, I need a User Manual in PDF for T 8827 WP....?
Me too. Did you find,please?
How do I open the door?
THE DRYER SAYS "CLEAN FILTERS" HOW DO I DO THIS? WHERE ARE THEY?
Filters are located in two separate areas of the dryer. First in the door itself and in the door frame, these are the easy ones to find. The second filter is in the bottom right of the machine behind a removable panel (refer to your manual for detailed removal instructions).
To clean them, remove the accumulated lint by hand and then gently wash the filters in warm wAter and leave to air dry. You need to clean the first lot of filters after every use and the second filter every month or so depending on usage.
Just an update, we don't have this model anymore. After a lot more service calls Miele did the right thing and gave us a new dryer.
Hi, I'm having difficulties fitting the drying rack for shoes that I bought as an accessory for the T8827WP. I recall using it when I first bought the machine and it seemed so simple and I didn't have a problem. I'm quite a logical person but each time I try to fit it and close the door it just falls into the machine. Help! What am I doing wrong?
Hi
Sorry i have never used the drying rack so cant help.

Hello! Bought one of the new Miele Dryer Heat Pump machines and when the clothes are dry, it keeps spinning on 'cool' sometimes for 4-5 hours, seems a little odd. Any ideas/suggestions?
I believe this is to prevent clothes from creasing. I love my miele heat pump dryer so much. Having a disabled son I have a mountain of washing so it would help me immensely if I could turn this function off so that i could throw a load in when I go to bed or during the day when im trying to catch.up o sleep. I use dryer numerous times during day and its very tiring having to go in laundry to physically turn dryer off after every load. The dryer would be PERFECT if i could reprogram it to stop completely when clothes are dry...... Miele can this be done pleass? A warning should be given to customers before buying what a shame otherwise id give dryer 10/10....
