Worst product ever – Worst product ever. Goes on and on saying tampered. Difficult to set up. Don’t buy this crap Show details
Had mine for years, works great if you know how to set up a smart home – [Content Removed] here are reviewing the App functionality, not the actual product. Had mine for years and works extremely well with the Tuya Smart life app. All Mirabella products should be used with Smart Life rather than the Mirabella app because the products are made by Tuya but rebranded for Australia. Great product to see what time people… Read more
are coming and going, can use this with amazon or google to trigger a function such as turning on a light or alarm when you open the door. runs off AAA batteries that hardly even need replacing
Loved this at the beginning.....until 6 months later – The first one worked perfectly for 3 months, but then it would mot recharge so I took it back thinking it was faulty and exchanged it for a new one. The second one was the exact same thing, it wont recharge and now will only work when plugged in to usb. Show details
Excellent – Simple device. You can use any of the following apps - Genio - Grid Connect - Tuya Smart - Smart Life Add it in there, add it to the same app as your light bulbs. In the automation section, you can simply trigger a light to turn on when the door opens. Really easy to use. I put it on the Garage Door to alert me when that is open or closed. Show details
Stopped working after a month – I bought this as I have other Genio app devices and they are great- however I found this device useless. Just says open all the time now even after resetting and changing batteries, I contact support but that wasn’t any help either. As said in another post it’s just a push notification. If you after a security device this isn’t it. Expensive for just a simple reminder Show details
Fantastic Low Cost Door Security – We have had a bad habit of forgetting to close Garage doors. This gadget notifies us on our phone by sound and message notification when the Door is opened or closed. We have also linked it through an automation to a Mirabella Genio Light bulb, which turns on when the door is open, and turns off when it is closed. We have also setup a Routine… Read more
in Google Home that when we say Goodnight Google, besides turning off all smart lights in the house it checks the status of our garage doors and tells us whether they are open or closed. It is easy to setup. Also found their support to be tops. I found the build quality to be excellent for the price. Best $25 security spend.!!
2nd of March 2023. Most reviews are done shortly after purchase, which doesnt give a complete picture. Its now more than 3 years later, and I can confirm that these sensors are top quality, Batteries last for ages, and I get updates when my doors are opened and closed. Highly recommend the product and the support company
Waste of money – The physical device is cheaply made, but you get what you pay for. As for the software features (is main purpose as a smart device) its pitiful. Firstly it's only feature in the official mirabella genio app is a nondescript push notification to your phone that stands out no more than email or facebook notifications. The google compatability is… Read more
nothing more than you being able to ask google what state it is in.. Eg, hey google, is the garage window open. As in to say hey google, did someone force that window open in the last hr or so? That's it. That all it does.... If you want it to do ANYTHING else you have to install 3rd party apps because mirabella was too lazy to give it any functionality. Eg, you want the lights to turn on when you open the door? Well... first you have to create an account with a 3rd party app call smart life and link it to your mirabella account. Then you have to create a IFTTT account and link that to your smart life account. Install the IFTTT app, create a rule then save. (Good luck with that) Once you are done If you are lucky when you open the door the lights will turn on in about 20-30 secs, But given the daisy chain of software it can take up to (and I'm not joking) 5 min.
My question to mirabella is this... Your app already has a section called "smart" Where you can add scenarios... Why does your sensors not show up as a configurable device in there! Why do I have to daisy chain 3 accounts to do what your app should be able to do in 1 account.
Regretful purchase – Bought this because I wanted a cheaper alternative to the Eve Door and Window I use with HomeKit, thought I could pair it with Homebridge but didn't work but that's not the point of this review. The door and window sensor is a waste of money, firstly, it comes with these adhesive strips that you're supposed to stick to the sensor, makes sense,… Read more
except only one side is adhesive, the side that sticks to the door, so to attach the strip to the sensor, you're supposed to use your own methods, literally makes no sense and the Mirabella Genio website doesn't give any advice regarding this. Secondly, notifications are slow, like, really slow, at least a twenty second delay between a change of state in contact so not very useful for live updates, and finally, trying to pair with IFTTT for automations, automations take a full minute to run so I gave up. Worst part is, once I did stick it to my door, the adhesive failed and I came home the next day to find the sensor on the floor, tried to use it again, nope, completely broken. Will not buy again and I don't recommend anyone buys this.
