Great little GPS – Purchased unit secondhand. Updated the unit with Navpro software out of Tasmania, available on eBay. Works great and gives you extended life of the unit. Navman make a great unit but you need to follow the instructions, including not leaving it in the sun when the vehicle is stopped.

Purchased in at secondhand.

Horrible Service – The Maps were out of date and after a long time trying to connect to the Navman website a service consultant told me I would have to pay $69 for up to date maps. That is a ripoff. Seems Navman same mentality as printer manufacturers easy to buy but ridiculously expensive to buy inks or update I finally found where I could update maps for free. Navman's site does not give clear instructions on how to connect and what to do. The site written for techs and not consumers. Navman is not user friendly.

Hi Rocz, As I am sure you understand, mapping data does change quite frequently, and this data is generated by going out and physically driving the streets. the EZY45 does not come with lifetime maps, which is why you were instructed to purchase new maps by our Service Staff.

If you dont wish to purchase new maps, you may also take a look at our trade in options, which allow you to purchase a new unit. all current Navman devices come with Lifetime Maps as standard. For example, you can upgrade to the Move70LM via a trade in, for only $97, which comes with lifetime maps installed, rather than pay $69 for a map update alone.

Absolutely terrible!!! I rate it No Stars! – I totally agree with Wanda34. I too have had the same sort of problems being directed to get into a particular lane that clearly would take me in the wrong direction and contridicts the picture shown! The speeds are also wrong on certain motorways and the worst feature of the GPS is that when you want to type in an address you start typing and the unit will only allow you to type the next letter of its choice while giving you a bunch of location options that dont match up to what your trying to find....its very had to explain but believe me its a real pain when you're in a rush and you just want to quickly enter in an address and the thing keeps offering up different leters for you to touch which aren't the ones you need-its totally shoddy!

Then another problem is that the touch screen technology is so old that you basically have to break a finger to touch the screen, if you dont tap it with full force it dosent detect it, so when your driving and you want to touch something on the screen quickly it can be a serious break in concentration to do so which i feel is quite dangerous!

We've had ours for 9 months now paying $158 for it and for no apparant reason the touch screen at the very top and very bottom has stop dectecting anything so if theres a button at the top you have to push to select something then too bad- can't be done. What a loada useless this thing is.....would highly recommend stearing clear of this one, its useless!!!

Is so useless compared to other GPS units I've owned in the past!

Disappointing – I bought the Navman EZY45 and used it for a 2-hour run around the city. During this time, the GPS continally gave confusing directions, such as directing me to turn right from the far left lane that was clearly heading to another destination and to turn left despite the screen map clearly directing me to go straight ahead. Furthermore, the speed limits on the Naman was not updated on several major roads and freeways. Overall, I was very diappointed with this GPS as it displayed outdated features that clearly should not be present in such a new model. Easy to use; good day and night screen lighting Constantly gave erroneous directions; speed limits on many roads not correctly updated
