An excellent product – Have had this item for at 10 years plus. Travelled all over Australia and gets us to where we want to go including major cities. Updates easy. One problem I have had a couple of times is unable to get the GPS signal. After trying all the troubleshoots I found what fixed it was to disconnect the power lead in car and turn the engine on then plug it… Read more ·  1

in and all good. Suspect the problem could of been a surge from the engine when turning on ignition. Simple fix. I have had the problem about 3 times in 10 years. Assume this could also effect other models as well.

Hardly used took forever to find a signal froze several times then stuck in one position just when it was needed most – After trying an Aldi unit which tried to turn me left off a cliff road into the ocean I decided to get the Navman EZY260LMT. Right from the start registration and map upgrades was a laborious operation. Then time after time it took an eternity for a GPS signal to come. Finally after 3 years of this it froze 70km out from home and simply says even… Read more

in my backyard waiting on sats. So unless the next car I get has GPS I will not be purchasing a Navman.

Buying a navman was a Serious Error – So both me and thd inlaws bought the ezy260lmt navman. The old man kept his updated while i never bothered. Roughly 2 years later, within 2 weeks of one another they both stopped working. The same symptoms and occasional message "application smartST_CE.exe encountered a serious error and must shut down" then freezes. I have tried everything i could found on google but no good. Navman must set these up to fail. Not happy, dont waist your money.

never again navman – I agree with joubear & will also never look at buying Navman either. To set up is a nightmare and to get Map Updates ..... well i'm still trying as i do this review out of frustration. The navigation can be haphazard , it thinks i'm on roads that are 50m to the left then suddenly , it realises i'm on the actual road i'm traveling on , next thing… Read more

you know i'm on the road to the right. The only (almost) good part is the events / roadwork notifications , although you have to take your eyes off the road too long to read what & where the notification is. Audio instructions are poor meaning i have to watch the screen too much for a safe drive . There is about 5 - 10 minutes of battery life in it from new . It wont let you set a destination until it gets its location which can mean 1. jump in car & drive in general direction of destination . 2 pullover over once signal is sorted out . 3 input destination . 4 think yourself lucky your not in a hurry !!! . There are more issues like instructing me to turn after i pass the road , that equate to a poor quality product all round . I had a TomTom 720 ( technology about 10 years old ) which never had these problems.

Non reliable – I first started out with an EZY200 Navman GPS which waited till out of warranty before trouble began, but not the new replacement EZY260LMT, it gave out five month's in, with help from Navman on line help we managed to get running again then three month's later the very scary happened in the middle of peak hour traffic 4000k from home plain white… Read more

screen, got back to hotel and tried all the fixit's no results Naveman asked me to send back for repairs under warranty it came back with the words NO FAULT FOUND worked fine for about a month then white screen so enough is enough bit the bullet and purchased a Garmin GPS dealer asked if was areplacement told him yes and a few details, his technician checked it out said faulty from manufactory he fixed it $15.00 now have two GPS,

.

I will never look at buying Navman again, way too hard to set up and to get Map Updates almost impossible, seems all Naveman want is to sell a unit regardless how long it will work, if a fault occurs answer no fault found until out of warranty then they can repair it at almost the cost of a new one. Take my advise go for a better quality but NOT A NAVEMAN

Aviod – Cheap and nasty, Warns me of safety cams when i have already passed them and sometimes they are not even on my route, Navman wanted me to send it back to them so they could repair it which just isnt convenient so i returned it to Target and got my money back no questions asked Got a garmin unit now and its faultless

First Navman. Possibly last – Was very disappointed by the Navman. The unit is extremely light and plasticy. Battery life is poor (1 hour tops). The screen even on maximum brightness has poor contrast ratio and luminance. Screen resolution appears to be the same across the board for the major manufacturers of 5" GPS being 480 x 272. It's amazing to think smartphones now… Read more

are pushing close to 4K resolution, but the GPS guys are still pushing outdated technology crap to the market at the same price point you can buy a multipurpose smartphone (with GPS) with better hardware overall.

I found the map quite good overall visually, however could not get the device to maintain a low zoom point. It continually would auto-zoom out shortly after I had manually zoomed in to a zoom level I preferred.

Would not recommend the EZY260. Maybe try a Garmin? At 5" you'll still get the same screen resolution (sadly) but maybe a brighter and higher contrast screen? Worth investigating.
