Worked fine for 2-3 years. Playback easy enough on the inbuilt screen. Good quality footage. Suction cup mount tends to fall off on hot days. Conked out just recently (it suddenly refused to read the SD card). Show 2 replies

Unreliable operation – As per the complaints below I get intermittent card read errors. Usually happens the first time I switch the car on and then will work if I switch off and on again. I tried two brand new SD cards (the same type as recommended by navman) and get the same problems. It's very annoying as it distracts from my driving and you have to pull over to reset… Read more

and even that doesn't always work. Very disappointed - especially when I read that others have had the same problem. I have also done the firmware upgrade but that did not help.

Never again Navman MiVue 1000 Sensor XL – This dashcam is driving me nuts. First purchased in May 2021. Only drove less than maybe 100kms and I got the "SD Card Error" message. Went back to JBHiFi and bought another SD Card....the one they recommended for the product, just as they had done when I purchased the unit. by JBHifi and the same thing happened again. SO, I eventually returned the unit and JBHiFi replaced it. Bought ANOTHER SD Card, on their recommendation and the same thing is happening. I've been on the Navman website to check exactly which card they recommend "Sorry! There are no compatible SD cards for this (sic) devices" No matter how many times I re enter model name I get the same message. I'll be taking this device back to JB and getting another brand. Never again!

unable to tag video – I have a Mivue 1100 sensor xl dc. Only 2 months old, initially it was giving me SD card errors using the SD card supplied with the unit. All other functions seemed to work fine at the start, it required a couple of updates and I noticed once updated it reset my settings back to factory settings both times. I tagged my videos with my own heading… Read more

and had to re enter the title on the videos both times after the updates. After the second update I couldn't enter any title for the videos, now I can only enter 2 letters and that's it. It won't let me tag my videos, I would like to know why this is the case, if it cannot be fixed then I will consider returning the unit to JB HIFI for a refund and consider another companies product. It's not that user friendly as you may state. I do expect if it cannot be simply corrected at my end then I would expect a refund ASAP. I wish I read the reviews prior to buying a Navman, I would've reconsidered buying your product. I do expect when I spend the money I did on your product I DO EXPECT it to work as it should.

1100xl dc won't turn on – Mivue 1100XL DC turns on and off again straight away, mostly won't even do that. Did a firmware update on initial start up and Worked OK for about 3 daysHave since done a reset but won't turn . Sometimes the red led flashes but unit won't do anything, can also see green led as well. Unit is supposed to turn on when vehicle is started, passenger cannot get it working when the vehicle is moving. Not happy with product. Lee Show details

SD Card error and MiVue Pro errors – I purchased the MiVue 1000 SENSOR to replace and aged Navman iGo Cam because I wanted GPS tracking. I have purchased the recommended Extreme ScanDisk SD card and get SD Card error 80% of the time when turning on the unit. I have tried a second SD card, formatted both cards on a PC and Dashcam several times and reset the unit several times. still… Read more

SD card Error message. It appears to be a common problem with this model. When installing MiVue Pro app it does not find Wi-Fi on the Dashcam, tried on Apple and Android phones, both same error. It also asks for Bluetooth, I cant find any Bluetooth settings on the Dashcam. Before you ask, I have followed all instructions, written and online.

Poor video quality – I’m not too sure if my dashcam is faulty. The display keeps flickering and the video is too bright and contrast not correct. I thought the device can auto detect the lighting and adjust accordingly. I may have to consider another brand. Show details

0/10 product – Unable to use two Navman MiVue 1000 dash cams. So, I bought two of these. I cannot get either of them to work. I purchased very high quality SD cards but all both units display for the SD card is ERROR. Cannot even format the cards on the unit. I format them on my computer, reinsert but still 'ERROR'. findings to be accurate as they couldn't get either Navman MiVue 1000s to work. Retailer replaced the cards with slightly lower quality SD card on both units and the dealer demonstrated both cameras recording in the shop when powered by a 'wall wart' psu. Since both cards worked on both Navman MiVue 1000s I reinstalled one of the dash cams in my car the following day. Powered it up, recording worked for less than ten seconds then ERROR. Swapped in the other camera and same result, this time between ten and twenty seconds is all I got before ERROR.

Now here's the thing, I paid almost $600 2x Navman MiVue 1000 XL dash cams and 2x SD cards. All they have to do is one thing but they can't even do that. There is absolutely nothing on the box or in the instructions about SD card compatibility so what am I supposed to do as they need micro SD cards to record?

Navman shouldn't get to use their full paying customers as beta testers for their unproven field products! Considering there is nothing on the box about SD card compatibility I have a reasonable expectation that if I purchase top end SD cards that the dash cams should work.

I deeply, deeply resent being treated this way. I buy two of these dash cams and with now 4x SD cards yet I CAN'T USE EITHER dash cam as they just don't work.

All these dash cams have to do is one thing but they can't even do that. Again, there is absolutely nothing on the box or in the instructions about SD card compatibility so what am I or the retailer for that matter supposed to do?

To say I am annoyed is about the mildest description one might apply. This is a classic junk product 0/10!

Does what they claim – Have no dramas with mine, easy to download videos with app, Visual and audio alert of speed cameras/school zones/black spot warnings are very accurate. the fines it will save you from, on screen Speedo handy.

Image stabilisation is great, no shaky videos,

Night footage is excellent, Only gripe is there's a bit of glare from lights that reflect off no plates, making it harder to read. Though other Dash cams seem to have the same issue.

Bought mine on sale from Jb for $250 which included the hardwire kit for for free which normally cost $79.

got out of them was a list of cards that may suit. That's 5 trips back to the retailer to exchange the camera and cards. Yet to see if it will work as I have one more trip to change the card again. And I discovered its a common issue. Never again, there must be better cams around than this
