Navman MY Truck

Rubbish don’t buy – The only good thing about this machine is the dash cam. The gps side is rubbish. It can’t find some streets in Sydney that have been there for years. Just use your phone. No updates for software or maps. Save your money. Show details
Unreal – Took me to the exact tile on george st sydney even during closure on busy day. (Truck one stoped workinghahah) The Navman seems to grow on you gets smarter???? Better than the new one in new truck spoken safety is the best. Mount is sticky mad. PS: near 5 years old now oct 2018 THANKS Show reply
Poor Window Hold – I am Frustrated !! - Navman Arm is now duct taped to the window !! Have now replaced 2 hold arms for the windscreen -the silicone pad is useless after 8months - whole arm needs replacing each time by headoffice (at my cost) Navman itself is ok Needs improvement
Thanks Staff @ Navman – I am here to change my opinion on Navman.. I had BIG ISSUES with my original GPS - NAVMAN - MY TRUCK II In my personal opinion I believe that on my original phone call/complaint I had someone who was having a bad day and couldn’t care less.. With my recent dealings with NAVMAN I couldn’t be happier.. They were courteous, polite and… Read more · 9
couldn’t do enough to help me..
They resolved my initial problem and there is no way I could praise them or thank them enough..
Being an Interstate Truckie this GPS
MY TRUCK III will be seen and discussed
and I will definitely be praising the staff at NAVMAN - AUSTRALIA
Not good – Terrible product. I can't imagine anyone relying on this device for navigation. First, loading is very slow and the screen tends to freeze for like every 3 minutes. Then, after using it for a couple of days, the touch screen got all warped and wouldn't work properly. After dealing with all these issues, I just bought a new nav system from a different company.
Hi Scott, Im sorry to hear about the problems you… Read more
Absolute rubbish – Bought mytruck 2, half the touch screen wouldn't work and kept turning its self off on the first day. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH. I had just started navigating B Double and road train routes and having the system turn its self off every 2 minutes after restarting it was not only annoying but unsafe as it took my attention away from the road to the piece of… Read more
crap on the dash. Have sent it in to be replaced. Wish I had read these reviews before I wasted my money.
This perfect crap – Kept shutting down, freezing and go lost I am lucky I wasn't driving a B-Double or even a coach but I was driving a motor home at 4.5 metres high with a 14 foot trailer. We were traveling from Melbourne to Canberra using the old highway as much as possible.
Do not buy Navman My Truck II – I bought the same model for my new job as I am a truck driver. Having the same problems, it keeps shutting down. Thank goodness I read your review as I was going to return it for the same thinking I had a faulty product. Will be seeking a refund as I need a replacement GPS ASAP that works!!
GPS kept switching itself off while on a journey – My Truck II - The unit would turn itself off while on route, so we had to keep pressing the power button to wake it up, it also gave us wrong directions. Called Navman support to help me with the power issues, they recommend that I reinstall the software which I did, the unit still played up. I ended up returning the GPS and swapped it for a Tom Tom.
having a bad day and this navman made it worse – Am a interstate truckie in a 25mtr B-Double .While in victoria this unit took me everywhere we didn't need to go. Got a few worried looks off the locals while getting out of tight situations NO thanks to navman.Unless this unit can be streamlined and regularly updated by tech geeks they have lost me.what a waste of money.quick to take slow to reslove.
would never recommend this! – I would never recommend the navman my truck 2 GPS, I'm a charter bus driver, I've set the vehicle dimensions and done updates but it still can't find common streets, takes me to low bridges and takes unnecessary longer routes or wrong directions, the speed limit indicater changes whilst the speed limit signs posted on the side of the road remain… Read more
the same. I would never recommend this GPS to anyone and the hassle trying to fix the problem after returning to the retailer where I bought it isn't worth the hassle. Do yourselves a favour and save your money for a GPS that actually does what it claims.
Great GPS. Good luck with the map updates – Good GPS in my truck as such. Seems to pick B Double rated routes well BUT... The map updating software is simply terrible. Unwieldly, difficult to use and even if you follow Navman's step by step instructions, there is no guarantee the iso will download and that updates will be installed to the unit. The Navdesk V7.50 software is clunky as hell as well....
Freezes – Purchased the series two for our prime mover. It has a disgusting habit of no gps signal and the bloody thing freezes. On our last round trip it froze so many times that we relied on the old "my" series gps. During our recent round trip it froze in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Whyalla, Port Augusta and then froze from Peterborough through to… Read more
Cobar!
Then from Nyngan to Narrabri via Dubbo it froze again.
The only time it did not freeze was between Narrabri & Goondiwindi.
What I cannot figure out is why it freezes and has difficulty obtaining a gps signal, it is closer to the windscreen than the old "my" unit.
On the positive side we set it to truck mode, length, width, height & weight and this part seems to work ok.
I am now in the habit of programming both the "truck" and the "my" units, seeing if they match the same routes and programming the same destination as I know the truck one will freeze.
The "truck" has located the destination and when I drive off it freezes.
On city deliveries and loading points where I have not been to before we rely on the old "my" than the new "truck
2" unit.
I am forever turning it off when it freezes to refresh it and all it shows is "no gps signal"
So I just leave it alone in the hope that it will unfreeze itself.
Freezing in the suburbs is a real pain, I don't give a stuff if it freezes out in the sticks as I know where I'm going.
Since writing the above I have taken it out of our Prime mover and fitted into our Rigid truck. It… Read more
Find out how Navman MY Truck compares to other GPS Navigation Systems
Know better, choose better.
Navman My Truck II – Very disappointing piece of equipment. Navman my truck II got us lost many times. Took us in circles, through small narrow streets, in fact everywhere we didn't need to go. It is useless for trucks especially oversize loads as it won't accept any wider than 2.5 metres. Its a complete waste of money. I also wish I had read these reviews. We will never purchase any Navman products in the future.
my truck navman – brand new unit brought 2015 running 2012 maps, unit will not update , freezes mid route, wrong speed limits, wrong truck routes, my advice is not not buy a navman my truck .
Its a FIZZER stahy away from them – I bought mine before they were released I have had it 5 months I have updated it twice and it still has'nt solved any problems. In fact it has made it worse. 1. the speed limits are out, shows 50 when it is actually 70. 2. It notifies me of traffic lights , school zones, speed changes, railway crossings (to mention a few) it tells me they… Read more
are 260 metres away AFTER I have gone past them.
3. I can be travelling down a well used freeway or highway and it will show I am off to the left in the bush telling me in 200 metres turn left and then turn right or whatever to get me back on the highway.
4. Lately since updating the maps it is now telling me "your route cannot be calculated from your location"
And the list goes on.
Its the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned,.
So take it from me DO NOT PURCHASE a NAVMAN MY TRUCK you will be wasting your money.
No route available – I wish I'd read these reviews before buying MYTRUCK. To add to the list of problems others have mentioned(problems I had with mine also), mine often directed me onto load-restricted or non-existent roads. 'Unsurfaced roads' was a favourite line along with 'can not calculate route' and 'no route available', to places I had been to previously… Read more
luckily, so I could find my own way. As for warning about steep descents or fixed cameras etc. ... nothing. After about 6 months of corresponding with Navman support(that's another story) doing upgrades on a brand new product, reloading the software, sending it back for repair, upgrading maps again, getting a replacement unit, upgrading maps again, ... I'd had enough and asked for a full refund. Eventually (after a wake-up call), they authorised a full refund from Harvey Norman where I'd bought it, who I can't fault. They were great. Looking at reviews for Garmin DEZL, it doesn't appear they're worth owning either. Can't anyone make a GPS for trucks that does what is claimed?
Frozen – Bought New and on it's first trip it froze up not 50 km's out of Brisbane and never regained Consciousness all the way to Kununurra, Western Australia. Piece of S#@t, steer clear people you have been warned!
Navman My Truck – Recently purchased the Navman My Truck it is terrible as other people have said it freezes when you put In a route tells you there are unsealed roafs when there are not .. I do a regular run which is 1960 kms it tells me its 2210 kms I've updated it not happy at all expecially now I've searched the freezing problem which seems fairly common might… Read more
just take this to fair trade I think Navman are obviously selling faulty devices so my advice would be spend your money on street directory cheaper and less headache. .... Don't buy it
It doesn't even try to work
Rang help line – I was told to ring help line which I did so I done everything they told me to do still freezes won't reaet won't navigate WANT MY MONEY BACK THIS PRIDUCT IS SHODDY so soon as I get back to Brisbane that's what I will be doing and I will never purchase another navman product Freezes
Not what we expected!!! – The write up on this unit was everything that my husband a B-Double Chemical driver wanted for his deliveries far and wide, after initially freezing and giving incorrect road conditions and taking him off to wrong directions we were advised to update our brand new not in the shops unit ( we purchased this straight from Navman before retail shops… Read more
had it ). After doing this and not having the unit do the job another call to their support team outside Australia we were given another GPS. This did not freeze but still did not recognise dedicated B-Double routes and kept saying that there were multipulle unpaved roads when it was all highways and unable due to weigh restrictions when there were none, and the worst was when it did not recognise the Port of Brisbane Motorway and to go north from there started to head him into Brisbane City, not good just as well he knew his way. This review is given with us at the end of our tether with the unit as it is on its way to Sydney again for it to be looked at. We simply want our $710 back and be done with it.
Very poor help from within Australia to sort the problem and not getting a refund.

A reject – I purchased my truck through harvey norman store in thomas town melbourne, and taking it back for a replacement........it is slow, freezes up during your trip, and it doesn't have b-double routes where b-doubles can go...you cannot set your speed to 105 klm to make that allowance you have in the ratio, it's 100 and thats it it is slow, and it freezes during the trip, have to switch it off and hope it resets, which 9 out of 10 attempts is doesn't
Well we are pleased to find someone else who has a problem with their MY TRUCK Navman. We… Read more (+1 reply)
