Pretty damned good - with a few exceptions...
My 4th Navman and "I like it".
The only major mapping error I've found was heading to Canberra from Melbourne it took me on a wierd route ending up almost on a bush track. I sought guidance from a nearby service station and they said that many people stop in with the same problem on various navigators as "the mapping around here is all rubbish". I also found difficulty on the the ring road in Paris where you're driving thru so many tunnels it cannot get accurate GPS fix. Also major cities with canyon like streets often it "gets lost" momentari...

I won't be buying another one.
Whilst I like the Navman format. I have nothing but problems with the unit freezing up and is very slow to load and respond. I wish that I had not bought another Navman, I had one previously and had the same problems on this occasion I thought the a company like Navman would have fixed these issues by now but no they are worse I now need to buy another Navigator but it won't be a Navman.
Purchased in April 2019 at The Good Guys for $179.00.
Ok but recurring problems
I bought this in june 2018. was ok for about a year. The battery would run down after charge in 2 - 3 days and the maps would not load on my desk. The unit is always on car charger.
Sent it back to Navman for assessment. Was told that it passed all tests and they sent me a new car charger and further instructions on how to load maps Followed instructions to no avail.
Only time it charges in car is if i go on a longish trip.
Have to keep charging via recommended 240v charger and have tried many times to update maps to no avail.
Getting pretty sick of this . Never had any problems like this with my previous tom tom
Purchased in June 2018 at Harvey Norman for $167.00.
Sorry I brought it
Shows school zones streets away.
raikway crossing before and after you go past and when there is no crossing.
the street names are very small can not adjust .
screen very cloudy
I would not recommend it to any one

Warnings out of sync and speed limits frequently wrong
This unit replaced my old MY60T which was a good unit with accurate and reliable maps. The only reason I replaced it was because the maps were out of date and it was going to be cheaper, in the long run, to by a new unit with free lifetime updates. The MY670LMT also has a bigger screen.
However, I have since found out that Navman changed their map supplier from Sensis to Navteq. This was a mistake. Sensis maps were very accurate on my old unit and speed limit changes, railway crossing warnings etc were spot on. On the MY670LMT, speed limits tha...

Onerous to use and a regretful purchase
I chose the Navman because it had a great screen size and I assumed its operating system would be as efficient to use as any other GPS (my tomtom’s backlight died after many years so the navman was its replacement). Every use of this GPS is frustrating, from its painful address search function to the number of times you need to insist that yes, you do want to cancel the route or yes, just navigate to that address please!. Not the sort of sluggish features anyone wants in a GPS while on the road.
The fact that it doesn’t default display the t...rip information is irritating and like others, I’ve found the speed limit advice is unreliable. There’s one particular industrial zone I drive past every day in a 90 zone and it insists I’m in a 40km school zone. There is NO SCHOOL anywhere near by. I’m going to return it and buy another tomtom. Really disappointing and irritating.
Purchased in October 2018 at Harvey Norman for $167.00.
easy to use, fast startup, gives early warning on directions, eg lanes, turns and guidance., just plugin and go..map upgrades very easy to install, large screen. works very well with Bluetooth for my mobile phone

Pile of chunk
I bought two my670lmt navmans from Harvey Norman in June 2018.had them replaced November 2018. After freezing issues and having a black screen they had very little use now the replacement units are doing the same thing. Looking at forums on the net and previous reviews on this site I believe they have an issue with operating on 12 volt. Not happy now I am $400 out of pocket.
Speed Zones and safety camera warnings useless
Purchased 25/10/2017 The maps are so outdated as to safety cameras and speed zones. I have Updated Regular. My old MY600LMT had no problem with these exact same areas untill I updated in early 2017 then it too had the same problem. I am told Navman changed their map supplier. I travel Bay of Islands to Auckland often. Two safety cameras are located in an 80k zone, the Navman says the speed zone is 100k and no warning of the camera. In one of these the speed was reduced from 100k to 80k about 18 months ago and the camera placed about 12 months ago plenty of time for an update. A resent trip from Bay of Islands to Hellensville there were five areas where the speed was showing higher than permitted.
I have been a Navman user for over 10 years. However my current MY670LMT purchased in January 2018 simply does not seem to hold its charge when connected to the car charger.
I have just returned from a 17,800km trip and these are the issues i experienced.
1. Yes I do have the genuine Navman in-car and 240v chargers.
2. Yes I do fully charge from 240v or another source until LED on NAVMAN turns from orange to green, before each trip.
3. Yes the green light shows when on the car charger and the LED glows orange on the NAV...
Worst out of box experience ever
Nowhere near as good as my old MY 65T. We upgraded to something with a bigger screen. However The vocal directions occur continuously about every 5 seconds or less, interrupt itself with incomplete directives and after 10 minutes drives you to distraction Maps worked well but had to turn volume off. Was told to reinstall software-result was a blank white screen with + targets. Returned for repair but on return unit still had vocal fault as per the original complaint. 3 approaches today to the service area resulted in a) asked to reinstall soft...ware again. Blank screen again the result. b)given a note on how to save “Myplaces” which I don’t need. c) asked to reformat GPS unit. Result blank screen with + targets. At the end where directed to reload maps was asked to enter regional key that is on box. Unable to be found. I now think a replacement is in order. I cannot understand why the support staff can’t take over my computer and fix the problem on line or that a replacement has not been provided. The unit is not suitable for its purpose.
Battery Not Good
Everything is good with the device except battery.
Just purchased before 6 months and facing the issue from 1-2 months. Even after charging 3-4 hours or more, it gives message battery low after 30 mins of use. So even if you charged or not it should be connected to power if you are going for trip, which is not good.
I find the speed signs shown on the device to be totally ridiculous, you can be on a 100 signed rd and the machine will show 50 and then continually beep because you are over its showing speed. In Bundaberg and surrounding arrears there are dozens of rds showing the wrong speeds I even named a lot of them and emailed them to navman and they assured me they would be fixed ,that was 6 updates ago and they are still the same also this can cause road rage as a tourist going on these speeds would be creating a lot of frustration to locals who know ...what the speed limit is. If they don,t know the speed just don,t show it on the map but if they don,t know they just appear to put 50 on it. Also their preferred route option is total rubbish as it takes no notice of it.Signal strength is excellent and I find updating easy Very poor Battery life around 20 mins if car not turned on Basically a good easy to use device if only they could sort out their maps
Why bother putting a battery in it???
Charge it up, and less than 1 hour it's flat and turns off, even if you charge in up and don't use it for a week battery is flat. Seems just absolutely pointless putting a battery in in the first place, really not even enough power to take out the car a program a couple of routes while having a coffee!!! Voice command.. well thats just a joke too! ha ha. "1 Smith St"... did you say "99 John St" lol.. Then had to get out of Sydney and it Froze up... had to use my phone to navigate, gps didn't work all day and next morning decided to work again... grrrrr
Incorrect speed limits on Navman MY670LMT
I bought my first ever GPS as "Navman MY670LMT" from JB Hi-Fi on 29 March 2018. I was hoping to use it during the long easter weekend for my drive outside Sydney. However in a day of use within Sydney I figured that this is not something I can trust specially regarding the speed limits as most of them are setup wrong. It was showing me 60 on a road where it is 70, was displaying me 50 where i should be at 30. While at some places it is correct. Now, the problem is that since it has this inconsistency and inaccurate data, I don't know when to t...rust it and when not to. By the way before some one advises me that I need to update the maps, let me tell you YES i have with the latest 500mb patch that i downloaded from navman server directly using the software provided on the dvd that came along with the kit. And I only used gps after this patch was installed not before that. I am upset and I will not recommend this to friends, family and someone who is looking to buy this. Specially if it's your first GPS. I am not sure how other gps devices fare against this one, but telling me wrong speed limits and alarming me on 60+ while the permanent road signs tells you its 70 is such a buzz kill. Thumbs down Navman!!

my MY670LMT keeps shutting down or not even starting up on occasion
I had the same problem. The battery gets flat. i had to take it out and fully charge it. It got pretty regular. i sent it back to navman 3 times but no change, so i piffed it and bought a new tom tom go supreme with the new technology. never had the problem again
Is it hot to touch on the rear panel? Have you tried a hard reset (small pinhole on rear)?
Navman should replace it if that is the case.
Thanks for reaching out to us!
To fix the problem, please follow the troubleshooting steps below.
1. Connect the device to a different power source like another vehicle power adapter, AC adapter and USB cable to the computer. Then, observe if the device will stay on or still keep shutting down.
A. The in-car power supply needs to have the green light glowing on the part that is inserted into the 12v socket of the car to confirm power is being received from the vehicle.
B. If the green light does not light up, the in-car power adaptor could be faulty. Please either test the in-car power supply in another vehicle or test the car’s cigarette port with another charging device.
C. If the in-car power adaptor is faulty and your device is within warranty, we can send a replacement in-car power adapter to you.
2. Perform a hard reset on the device while it is connected to the power source. You may click one of the links below for the steps.
3. If the device is still recognize by the computer, then please update the software and maps via NavDesk2 software. Please follow the steps from the link below.
If the problem persist, please send an email with your Full Name, Phone Number, Shipping Address, Serial Number, Date of Purchase and Store where the GPS is purchased to our email support team at email@example.com.
More great and keep safe.
