Poor sound loudness – Just bought this and the sound isn't loud enough to overcome road noise. What a piece of rubbish. Wouldn't buy this again
Works fine with SD Card – Comes with all the bits and pieces you need. I like these DVD Players because they have built in battery so doesnt have to be connected to car power all the time. Screen quaility is good and speaker volume fine IMO. I notice the last person to review these said they dont work with SD cards larger than 2GB - thats not true. I use mine with an 8GB Sandisk SD card and 4gb Sandisk cruizer USB stick - works great for me not problems at all. Comes with all the accessories - also includes a built in battery - works with 8GB SD Card nothing i can find
Jimmy06, we've had this one since 2010. Ours still works and we've been very happy with it. The only problem we've encountered, just recently, is that it's not compatible with mp4's.
OK – Would i pruchase this again probably but if you find one that takes SDHC which can go up to 32gb and that's a lot of media go for it because it's better than using DVD's. Portability, able to take mulitple types of media, clear sound. I liked this unit beacuse it can take SD & MMC cards so the kids don't scratch DVD's but it only takes 2Gb max so so it can only hold 3-4 movies on a card. It keeps the kids quite and occupied for the long trips for a while. Only able to take 2gb SD cards and 2GB MMC cards. This is a total let down as this is old technology and most cards these days are SDHC which can go up to 64Gb.
Not true - mine works fine with large SD card (Sandisk 8GB) and Sandisk Cruizer 4GB USB Stick - not tried larger cards /usb sticks yet.

hi i thinking getting this model you still happy with it?has it got a remote?philips seems to get bad reveiws and i used dse model was ok but broke down in 12 months so got a new one under warentee so second one packed up again ,got jacar head rest dvd it broke .
