Disappointed by Undisclosed Fee and Lack of Transparency I purchased an Omnidesk late on a Friday afternoon after believing my current desk (from King Living) was out of warranty. By Sunday, I received confirmation from King Living that my desk was still under warranty and a technician was scheduled—so I immediately emailed Omnidesk (12:50pm… Read more
Sunday) to cancel the order before dispatch.
Monday morning (9:29am), Omnidesk replied that the order was still processing and they’d try to stop it from being collected. At 9:41am I received confirmation that the order was successfully cancelled, followed by a refund notice at 9:43am. However, I noticed the refund amount was short by $24.01. When I questioned it, I was told the amount was a processing fee.
The issue? Their website contained no mention of any processing fee for cancellations made prior to shipping. I had carefully reviewed all relevant FAQs and refund policies in advance and found nothing that applied to my situation. When I raised this with them, I was told it was essentially “bad luck.”
I understand businesses incur costs—but under Australian Consumer Law, fees must be clearly disclosed and reasonably justified. In this case, neither condition was met. I’m disappointed that a straightforward cancellation was penalised without transparency or accountability.
Almost cancelled my order due to the negative review's on this website regarding delivery & customer service. Prompt response with customer service, my desk got delivered within 2 DAYS! wow. Dont let these Reviews scare you. Show details
Terrible customer service and quality – I’m extremely disappointed with Omni Desk. We paid $800 for a desk that doesn’t even work, and the customer service has been terrible. It’s been over a week, and there’s been no meaningful update or resolution. They don’t answer phone calls, and when they do respond, they keep asking for videos instead of providing any real support. This has been… Read more
a frustrating experience, and I regret choosing this company. I expected better for such an expensive product.

Omnidesk – Would not recommend anymore. Was waiting to see it they did a Black Friday sale. For a product I wanted, they did but they upped the price and then said they took a discount off they didn’t even with the discount the price is even higher then before, price gouging disappointed. Great quality, easy to assemble, but their cable management sucks a bit – I got the Wildwood Acacia Light. The material is great, well made, the wood is beautiful, legs and material are solid and strong. Ridiculously easy to operate. Smooth movement, and can be very precise on the height adjustment. Very easy to assemble. I took about 40 min, just following the video instructions. The only thing I thought would be much… Read more
better is the cable management. It's not made for Australia and Macbooks. The wholes on the back side are not large enough for Australian standards (maybe if you buy the additional power points). Also, it is too low on height, and that does not fit the macbook's power adapter (it needs to be hanged outside the cable tray).
Love my Omnidesk – The product as is now after 5 or so months of use is 5-stars. I went all out with PC holder, drawer, cable management, monitor arms, riser etc. It is all really good quality and I love it. My version is the Ascent Wildwood XL - Acacia Dark. I had to remove one star as the first table top developed a hairline crack shortly after assembling.… Read more
Omnidesk support were great to work with and sent me a replacement and a small cashback. Probably just unlucky but it was a nuisance and took me good part of 8 hours to disassemble and reassemble with the replacement top, plus re-running all the cabling for PC and accessories. The new top is perfect and strong too so I don't expect any further issues.

Regret buy it – Bought it during Black Friday sales. The delivery company states on tracking when it was meant to come but did not. Tried to contact the delivery company but they said I had to contact Omnidesk. I contacted Omnidesk and was told it was escalated but I received nil further updates. After 2 weeks I received 2 partial boxes. 1 week later I received… Read more
the rest of the product damaged. Doubt if I ask to have the damage product replaced, the new parts wouldn't be damaged again. Their assembly guide wasn't that helpful, had to watch youtube guides.
Overpriced for the quality you get – The desk arrived quickly. The instructions on their own weren't clear enough -- fortunately there was a YouTube video that helped. The legs are sturdy, but the finish of the bamboo desktop is rubbish. One of the screws fastening the desktop to the legs won't stay screwed in. I've had this desktop for less than 5 months, and parts of the desktop's… Read more
finish are bubbling off and it scratches and scuffs super easily. I always use a mousepad and coasters, so it's not that. I'm eventually going to have to re-sand and re-finish it, which very disappointing given the price I paid.

Good product, however reccomend you only buy wood top – EDIT: Support have responded and will replace the bending top and led panel under warranty so the service is good. Just get the wood or bamboo top. I bought an Omnidesk pro 4 years ago. Since that time the top has progressively bent over time in the middle. I have a 34" ultra wide on it, on an arm clamp that is on the far right side of the top… Read more
i.e. not heavy and in the strong part of desk. Computer is on floor. I have contacted customer service, however reading these reviews it's seems to be a known fault of the product. If you are going to buy this product get the wood top only. That didn't exist when I purchased. Also, the up down led panel has dropped showing a digit. Warranty claim submitted for these items, will update this review to advise how I go.
Amazing customer support ! – So this review was supposed to be posted 1 year ago. I purchased an Omni desk with the little drawer also back in 2020. The drawer was a 3-4month wait. Which never came. situation and literally within 5mins she was cool to refund me the mini drawer cost (just going of my words - I mean I could have taken a photo of my desk with the drawer but hey I could have just taken it out).... Unbelieveable customer service. I doubt ANY company would do that. I told her I would post a review but because im a goose I am now doing it now. I have no idea who the lady was but she made my day because she trusted me and didnt do my head in. Well done guys thanks again!
P.s I’ve had 0 issues with my desk it’s still working flawlessly.
Great product and service – Recently bought a desk and have been really imporessed with the product and the responsiveness of the AftershockPC supplier. I had a few issues which turned out to be user issues rather than product issues, and these guys have bent over backwards to sort it out. Cant speak highly enough of customer service. Show details

DONT USE OMNIDESK- too much hassle – We ordered 2 desks. One took a month , the other we are still waiting on. The customer service is horrible, we had to chase the courier to be told our ph was written wrong by Omni as they are overseas didn’t understand Australian ph no. I would never use them again, too much heartache. In the end went to the Ombudsman! Show details
Frustrating Experience with Poor Communication and Broken Promises – I had a highly disappointing experience with Omnidesk's customer service and delivery process. Before purchasing my desk, I explicitly asked if delivery could be delayed until at least the 12th of December, as I was out of state and moving into my new place on that date. I was assured multiple times that this would not be an issue and that a note… Read more
would be left with the delivery company to hold the desk until then. With this understanding, I placed my order on the 25th of November and immediately informed their support team, who once again confirmed that the delivery would not occur before the 12th.
Shortly after, I realized I needed a smaller version of the desk. I contacted customer support to request a change and to confirm the delayed delivery. Despite being assured again that the delivery would be held, the process to update my order was frustratingly slow, with responses taking hours or more. I was told I would receive an update within 48 hours, but even after checking back, I was informed they had not heard from the warehouse team. This back-and-forth stretched on for days.
To my shock, on the 2nd of December, I received a call from the delivery company saying they were outside my apartment with the desk—ten days earlier than agreed. When I explained the situation, the delivery company stated they had no instructions from Omnidesk to delay the delivery. Being out of state, I could not accept the delivery, leading to significant inconvenience.
When I reached out to Omnidesk yet again, I was told this was due to a "miscommunication." Regarding the desk size change, I was informed I would need to receive the larger desk first and then wait for a later date to exchange it for the smaller version. This means I now have to coordinate two separate delivery days, disrupting my schedule further, all because the desk wasn’t stored as promised.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating. The lack of communication, repeated assurances that were not followed through, and the inconvenience caused by these errors have left me extremely dissatisfied. I had expected a smoother process, especially from a company with Omnidesk's reputation. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

Poor communication and overselling a product they dont have – I bought a desk on a pre-order and chose the Ascent with the Walnut top. Singapore office. The Melbourne number has not once been picked up, so id forget even trying to call them. I finally got a reply, saying that the desk will be delivered mid next week via email.
The mid-next week came and went, so the emails and phone calls had to start to find out whats going on. Finally got a return call at 5:30pm. To tell me the desk is out of stock and it'll be another month as it was oversold. They can offer me a different top, but it wont match the riser i also purchased, and a $100 discount. (failed to mention that the alternate suggestion was $200 cheaper)
For a company that will take $1000s, have little communication, over sell a product. Id save the hassle and go elsewhere.

Product works well. Accessories are inferior to competition. Service leaves something to be desired – I bought my Omnidesk Pro in late November 2020 - black standard top, black legs, standard cable management bar and a bunch of accessories including monitor arms, anti fatigue mat for standing, a wireless charger and a power clamp. Generally I'm fairly happy with the product. It does what it says it does - goes up and down as required, including… Read more
pre-set heights. The table top (XL, 72 inches wide) is thin but sturdy. No sign of warping, and I do have a few things mounted to the edges (two 27 inch monitors on arms, boom mic arms, etc). One thing I'm not a huge fan of is that marks on the surface are very visible. Minor scratches really stand out, and clamps can leave a permanent mark. In hindsight, I would go with a wood top instead, as it has more texture to it so marks may be less visible.
The standard cable management bar that was available when I purchased it is VERY ordinary. It's not very wide, so really doesn't serve my XL desk very well. They have since released a wider cable management bar. I've also looked at competitors' products, and they offer cable management bars that are not compatible with the Omnidesk, but are otherwise similar to the wider Omnidesk cable management bar. (They're not compatible because they don't screw on to the bottom of the desk, and instead attach to the desk frame - the Omnidesk frame doesn't have the same attachment points on its frame.) The competitors' cable management bar also has the option to include up to 10 power points in the cable management bar. This is a great idea, because fitting a power board into the Omnidesk cable management bar takes up a lot of space and larger power bricks, such as MacBook chargers, don't fit. I have found that you can buy another type of cable management bar with integrated power points, by Elsafe, and am waiting for that to arrive. It should work with the Omnidesk. Overall, cable management options aren't great with Omnidesk, and better with competitors, but there appear to be third part options that might work well too.
Some of the other accessories just don't work very well. For example, there's a wireless charger that you mount under the table top with double sided tape that should allow you to charge your phone just by leaving it on the table above that charger. I found that this didn't work very well and have stopped using it.
There's also a distinct lack of detail about how certain accessories work. For example, there are different monitor arms but it's not really clear what the difference is. There are also various power options, and the website doesn't really spell out how they work. For example, one of them requires a drilled hole through the desktop, but this wasn't clear, so I didn't order it. I probably would have ordered it if I'd known how it worked - I was concerned I was going to have to drill a hole myself through the desktop, and that was the last thing I wanted with a new desk.
I also bought a scalloped edge, which means there's a little curved cutout where you sit. Looked great! I thought it might be a nice little touch, get be a bit closer to my monitors, etc. I didn't know that it would mean that some accessories might not work, such as drawers that attach to the underside of the desk. A shame, as I'd really like to add a drawer but can't.
I would recommend checking out the accessories available by other brands, particularly Desky. Some will be compatible with the Omnidesk, so won't.
Generally, the prices are competitive compared to the competition. Most appear to use similar desk frames and controllers. Omnidesk has a bluetooth controller, so you can control your desk with your phone. I'm not really sure why I'd use this, as I'm going to control my desk while I'm sitting at it and therefore use the standard controller which is readily accessible. But, you might see a use case for it.
Since I ordered it, they've come out with these gorgeous desk tops that include a resin channel in them. That might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the look and would consider buying one. Omnidesk's version, the Ichi, apparently starts at about $2200 AUD. I don't see the price on the website for these, you have to contact them to ask. I only know the price because it was mentioned in a review, so I'm not sure if it's still accurate. In contrast, Desky offers a range of resin desktops for much cheaper. For example, a Walnut desktop with a green resin river through it is about $1750 for 1800mm wide. Sure, that's a bit of an extravagance, but it's the kind of thing I'd love to get one day. Fortunately, the desk tops are interchangeable as the brands use mostly similar frames, so I can swap it out in the future. (Noting above that the Desky frame does have some additional connection points on their frame for things like their larger cable management bar, but otherwise similar.)
I've found Omnidesk's service to be very hit and miss. When I ordered my Omnidesk, somehow about a month later they shipped a whole second order, including all of the accessories. So, they'd sent me two and they had no idea! My wife decided she wanted a sit stand desk for her office, but the one I'd bought was too big. So, we did the right thing and returned the second desk to buy one for her that would fit her office. We realised that they had been running a promotion that had expired just days earlier, like three days, which made the desks substantially cheaper. They made it clear the promotion had expired, so wouldn't give me a couple of hundred dollars off, despite returning the additional order they had shipped, which was worth about $1500. Left a bit of a sour taste.
Their shipping is also expensive. To buy their larger cable management bar was $30 to be shipped, while Desky will ship theirs for $10. That's not a small shipping cost if you want to just get an accessory or two.
Recently I've reached out to them to ask them for some details about their accessories. I've had no reply on the online chat. In contrast, Desky's customer service has been instant and they really know their stuff. My wife ended up going with Desky and is very happy with it. In hindsight, I would have done the same.
In summary, Omnidesk makes products that work, but has inferior options and detail about their accessories to other brands. Some of their products are much more expensive. Customer service is not the best. If you just want standard stuff, Omnidesk will probably do just fine - get a wooden top that doesn't mark so easily. If you've got a lot of devices or cables, or large power bricks, consider a Desky instead, especially with the cable management bar with integrated power. Or, get Omnidesk and look at the Elsafe options.
A note on Elsafe. The Elsafe Qikfit system fits into many cable management bars. There are 10A and 20A wiring options. You can have power boards with 2 or 4 outlets, or 2 outlets and an additional 2 usb ports. I'm getting one of the 4 outlet power boards with a starter cable (i.e., one that connects to power point), then a 4 outlet with an interconnecting cable and a 2 outlet with another interconnecting cable. The 20A cables are the ones I'll need for that many connections. But, this'll mean my cabling is much simpler. I do have a lot of gear on my desk (camera, sound equipment, various powered devices) and the current option of an 8 outlet power board in a tiny cable management bar sucks. These Elsafe power management options will fit into the Elsafe cable management bar, which is much more spacious and accessible and will attach to the bottom of the Omnidesk with some screws. Worth the investment for me, given that Omnidesk doesn't offer it.

customer service, who I will not disclose their name, they acknowledged that this is a common issue with the black and white tops, as the material used is not sturdy. As I was still within the warranty period, I asked for a solution and was informed about their solid wood range is much more sturdy and recommended. However, I was shocked to learn that they wanted to charge me for this replacement, After Customer Service admitted that they are aware the black table tops are faulty by construction/design and provided alternative recommendations wants to then charge me extra for a replacement of what they recommended.
A warranty is a type of guarantee that a manufacturer or similar party makes regarding the condition of its product. It also refers to the terms and situations in which repairs or exchanges will be made if the product does not function as originally described or intended.
- You should not advertise that your product is capable of handling a certain weight on the table top given the cost of the items being placed on your desks is likely to exceed the cost of the desk - Request that I then pay an extra $440-500 for a replacement of a faulty product.
Poor service, worse delivery – Bought the desk during Christmas sales. Arrived with a damaged corner, terrible material and assembly, much better options out there – First thing I wasn't happy with was the fact that the desk arrived with a damaged corner. Majority of these anchors weren't actually catching on to the… Read more
desk material so when the anchor caught the screw, the anchor would just spin around inside the hole and the screw wouldn't go down. As a result the cable management bar just hangs. It also made it very difficult to disassemble because it won't unscrew. I nearly took my eye out pulling the screw out because the plastic anchor came out as well. I was disassembling because I was returning the desk for a refund. The white desk top is like a blue-white and it doesn't match the white of the legs which I absolutely hate and do not understand why. The legs match the Ikea Alex range white. I ended up getting a desk from another popular brand and it was so much better, the white matched, it didn't have the annoying cable hole, and the cable management was the best I've seen.
Delivery was okay, I had to chase up delivery as the tracking meant nothing. Whilst I was on the phone with an Omnidesk rep and he was telling me its at the warehouse, my doorbell rang and it was my desk. Not all though, I was missing the legs and then had to chase that up too.
Also, I posted this review on their page in Feb and just noticed its not on their page so I think they're removing bad reviews.

Awful Customer Service – I'm yet to receive my desk, and have been trying to contact omnidesk regarding the dispatch of my order seeing as I have absolutely no communication 5 business days after placing the order, only they are impossible to get a hold of and are very unhelpful when you finally do. Customer Service is Terrible. Do not trust this company – Was given one of these desk as a gift. The power did not work after about 2 years (post warranty). Contacted them tog et it fixed and all they cared about was who bought the desk. This went back and forth for about 2 weeks before I gave up and threw the desk away frustration. Show details
Don't buy Omnidesk - they bow easily – Bought 2 new monitors yesterday, thinking something's wrong because they don't sit flush - but it's not them, it's the huge bowed curve in the desk (this is the second top I've had) Strange, considering that 90% of the equipment is on VESA. It also scratches quite easily (it's MDF). Disappointed - we'll look for something else.
Very happy with my new desk! – My Omnidesk delivery got caught up in the flooding, rail and road damage in the Nullabor. I had such good communication from Omnidesk as it made it's way over - they emailed and rang me a few times when I had trouble following my tracking link. phone calls, they sent the table top. I had to store their wrong item in my garage for another week before they organised a pick up. Assembly is not straight forward and needs two people.
Anyway after finally assembling the desk, I did like it and it felt like a good quality product. But, I guess I assumed too soon.
Just after 3 months of usage the desk malfunctioned and threw an error - ERR-8
I checked the omnidesk website for some technical guidance on this and found an article on how to reset the desk. I followed the exact instructions. When I tried their troubleshooting steps, the desk completely went down on one side and the other side stayed up. The desk tilted completely and everything on my work desk fell down. The desk even damaged my wall and knocked over my dyson air purifier. Luckily nothing broke. See pictures
I contacted Omnidesk and seeked assistance. None of their technical advise worked and soon they said they would send me a new part for the motorised legs.
I asked them to send someone to disassemble the old one and reassemble the new. But they declined my request and blamed it on covid. I then requested them to pay me for organising an external person for assembly. They offered me a 50$ refund only. It cost me 200$ to get a airtasker to do the job.
So now I am sitting here and wondering what else this desk will cost me.
There are cheaper ones in the market for 400$, but I spent $740 to get an Omnidesk assuming it to be a premium good quality product. But, don't be fooled by their marketing skills. It is proving to be a below average product and customer experience.
My 2 cents advice, Stay away from Omnidesk
Great desks purchased early 2021 – We purchased 2 desks from Omnidesks during covid as we were working from home a lot. desks for a few months, it's important to put a summarised review.
The order was delayed however, we were not notified until we contacted the company to check up on the status past our estimated delivery date.
Desk assembly was pretty straightforward. Would not recommend purchasing additional accessories, especially the monitor mount, as we found the identical item at umart for a fraction of the price. We only found this out after we made the purchase as we wanted to get one more, but delivery was $100.
The storage drawers are narrow, and they are in the way. You cannot open them fully; therefore, it only fits a few items. Personally, I would not recommend this product.
The acacia wood top gets scratched very easily. Even during assembly, we could see multiple marks on them. I think it may have a finish that gets marked easily. The bamboo one, however, had no marks.
The packaging had a mix of non-recyclable plastic. I contacted the company to find out how to recycle the different components as there was a lot of packaging, and I did not want to send it to landfill. Thought they may have a solution as some companies are conscious of their impact. Their response was "while the boxes are fully recyclable (with the tape removed), the remaining packaging is not and will need to be disposed of with general rubbish". I was not impressed with this as we try to be as environmentally conscious as possible. Unfortunately, on this occasion, it had to be sent to landfill.

week, 5 out of the 6 boxes arrived in Tasmania from Melbourne, good start but I wondered why the 6th item had not been scanned at all since leaving their warehouse. I queried why the 6th item appeared to be missing, to which I was told I had to wait the 14 business day service standard for sales periods. I waited 14 business days, after which there was still no scan for the 6th item anywhere. They finally agreed that this was odd, and looked into it. After a couple more days, my 6th item was scanned at Adelaide, and was on its way to Western Australia, rather than Tasmania somehow. This could have been looked into when I flagged the issue early in the process when the 6th box appeared to have vanished, but this request was declined. The person I dealt with was lovely and receptive, but their processes need improvement if you're forced to wait the whole service period before even beginning to look into anything for you. Their choice of courier, Hunter Express, have no idea where their packages are at any point in time, and refuse to provide any information or try to do anything for you. Somehow they decided that a package bound for Tasmania needed to be redirected to Western Australia for a road trip. Hunter Express are an awful company and any reviews you can find on them suggest the same, you just don't know you're using Hunter until it's too late. An option to use any other shipping company, even at additional cost, would be ideal.
Almost a calendar month passes, and my 6th item finally arrives from its road trip around Australia. I start putting my desk together, only to find that there is a manufacturing defect for the "Frame End - CB" piece. The little rectangles sitting in the rails in the images are not supposed to be welded into both ends, only the end where the adjustable sliding rails go. This meant I could not fit the side bracket into this piece. After sending some photos to Omnidesk, they agreed that this was a defect and sent me a replacement after a further few days of waiting. They agreed to ship it express via Aus Post. After another few days, my replacement arrived, with no defect.
Putting the desk together is a bit of a mission, a few hours worth if you take your time. And if you're removing another desk and unplugging your computer and recabling etc., prepare for a decent half day investment of your time. Which is fine for the quality of desk, I like putting this stuff together, but just be prepared. The desk itself is of high quality and the cable management options are great. The video warned that the monitor arms might not clamp to the desk if you put the cable management bar in where the pre-drilled holes are, but mine fit over the top of the cable management bar with no issues.
Not bad for what it is – It's a standing desk, and the black went well with my existing setup. In terms on unique features, the heights presets are nice, and the ergonomic curve is cool. All the accessories they sell are a cool idea, though at their pricing (e.g. $80 for a cable management tray) they are fleecing you to some degree - fine if you're able to expense them.… Read more
Biggest disappointment when receiving the order was how wasteful the packaging was, filled with expanded EPE that doesn't biodegrade nor is recycled in Australia. Expected better from a relatively young company.
Not impressed – Ordered 2 weeks ago and i started receiving random packages of parts only today, but not enough to assemble a desk. Their shipper has no meaningful tracking. I cannot say whether the desk is any good, but I can say I probably would not order again. Insult to injury, although i paid full price and still don’t have my desk. It is now on sale!! Show details
Amazing desk – Best office desk you could ever purchase! Perfect size, very clean and feels sturdy. The adjustable height allows it to fit your personal comfort level. Definitely satisfied with the product. Show details

WFH expenses.
To make matters worse, customer service couldn’t amend the order and they’re expecting me to make payment for a new order before having refunded me my original amount. The whole experience has been extremely frustrating. I online shop all the time and have never had issues with ordering and billing like this.
Nicely – A nice desk, easy to install, and good quality. My son likes it very much, many thanks.
