This is a follow up to my previous report on the Omron 7361T I purchased at a Good Price Pharmacy in December 2024. My health professionals have independently checked its performance against that of their own machines, their manual checking and… Read more
reports from a Pacemaker and a via an ECG. My health professionals assure me that since the fitting of my Pacemaker in November 2024 that I do NOT have arrhythmias. The Omron 7361T says otherwise - averaging false / absurd readings 30-40% of the time [eg. heart rate - 40bpm when the pacemaker limit is 60bpm]. The pharmacy I purchased the Omron 7361T from merely referred me to Omron's Australian distributor saying they're unable to even check it as I was led to believe they could do when I purchased it. The Australian distributor told me I could buy a new cuff online - it was 'Out of Stock'. They also advised me to mail the monitor to them at my expense - mail delivery time + five days turnaround and replacement IF the machine was found to be faulty. On a medical critical device Omron's six year warranty has proven to be of NO use to me - as someone diagnosed with congestive heart failure the idea of waiting so many days for service is NOT appropriate. I've no choice but to invest in an alternative brand from another local retail store.
Follow-up · Since my previous update, my confidence in my Omron T7361T has fallen further. After replacing batteries many times to keep them fully charged I even purchased a universal power supply for it - there were no signs of improved performance. I've still been unable to source a replacement cuff! I've therefore purchased a Terry White Chemmart UA-651SL… Read more
In early 2024 I purchased an Omron blood pressure monitor on line. Recently I noted a difference in readings between this monitor and the monitor utilised at the doctors surgery. Doctor insisted my monitor was faulty and as a result contacted the… Read more
Omron representatives in Wangara to establish whether my monitor could be checked for accuracy. The young woman immediately sprang up and invited me to bring in the monitor and she would check it while I waited. The monitor was subsequently checked and the result was that it was working perfectly. During this process there was no double talk or questioning whether I had dropped it etc. etc. What a relief to be able to communicate with a mature person with a functional brain without getting involved in arguments. The young lass involved is a credit to her upbringing and a very valuable customer relations member of the Omron organisation. If you buy a product from Omron one knows it will be backed up by excellent support. I was also provided with a fact sheet on the does and donts of operating the monitor.
Follow-up · Cant locate fact sheet for the moment however if one finds the Omron Web Site and refers to the Frequently Asked Questions its all there. Felt the young lass that did the calibration of my Omron device knew exactly what she was doing and backed it up with graphs and figures. Advice for all is dont be lazy. Read the instructions. HEM7361T is eating through batteries. Can rechargeable batteries be used? – Very happy with my new Omron HEM-7361T for its features and data collecting ability. My only concern, and it is becoming a bigger issue, is that it absolutely 'eats' through batteries! I have been using freshly purchased AA Energizer Max Plus batteries (4 each time) and they only last a little more than a week!! I've used other Omron monitors… Read more · 3
before and never had this type of issue- batteries have usually lasted for months. But the HEM-7361T becoming a very expensive model to own!! I'm wondering if there are any reasons why rechargeable batteries cannot/ shouldn't be used in this model?
OMRON HEM-7361T Blood Pressure & phone app ~ Works very well, good solution – I have been using this unit for the last 12 months (as of 2024, still good in 2026, cuff velcto is wearing out). Straight forward to use, and connecting/down loading to the 'phone App works well. Graphs and data trends are very good. Ability to generate a .PDF file of the stored data and email it is an excellent feature. Great product,… Read more · 2
reliable, and accurate.
- unverified, anicdotal observation only - It appears to me that even when using good quality rechargable batteries (they have a lower voltage) rather than regular batteries, this may sometimes in colder weather trigger an irregular heat beat warning. When putting in freshly charged batteries or standard batteries the I.H.B. seems to go away. - this is an observation only, the product works very very well, I am including this note as i didn't see any note in the instructions to indicate that rechargables could or should not be used. - Maybe the page moderator could contact OMRON for some feedback? Again, this an observation only, so use regular batteries if unsure. Either way, if the IHB warnings come up, follow the product instructions and communicate with your medical practitioner. Regards D
OCTOBER 2025 The arm cuff supplied lasted 2 years (used twice per day) before the Velcro started to wear out, BP machine is still fine. I will however be looking for a small wall plug transformer 6 V power supply. D
Excellent monitor – Excellent monitor. Connecting to the app is a bit of a pain. Only 1 user is recognised. Cuff is very stiff. Comes with an optional 3x3 year warranty when registered with Omron. Show details · 1

Unit is good, but there is NO warranty when purchased outside the USA – I tried to register the unit for warranty but there were issues online as there is supposed to be an extra year warranty taking it to 3 years. I contacted Omron who responded by email stating "Unfortunately Omron Health Care products are only licensed and regulated for distribution in the US and Canada" Show details

Advanced, quality Blood pressure monitor – Purchased the Omron 7361T to monitor blood pressure at home - selected this model because it does Atrial Fibrillation monitoring and irregular heartbeat monitoring as well, and all functions once set up are fully automatic. Download the Omron monitoring app from Play store (and I presume Apple store as well) onto your phone, start the monitor… Read more · 1
and pair using Bluetooth - its all quite simple and not difficult to set up.
The app is good and records all your history along with any abnormalies detected (afib, irregular heartbeat) and gives you an ongoing record.
The cuff for your upper arm is very good and easy to use and plugs back into the machine - just follow the instructions supplied on how to take your pressure - its very easy. The machine monitors excess movement during testing and lets you know in the data - checking atrial fibrillation is not hard but follow the instructions - keep still hold down the start button for 2 seconds and then its in AF mode - it will do 3 readings 30 seconds apart and give you an indication of AF - its not so we can play doctor, its so if there is any indication we can take the data to our doctor for further investigation.
You can use the machine for multiple people but can run full data transfer to the Omron app in your phone - both users need to download the app into their phone and then you just push the switch to person 1 or person 2 to do the blood pressure check and upload the results.
Build quality seems to be very good - comes with 4 AA batteries which the manufacturer says will do up to 1000 checks (seems high for 4 batteries) - you can easily buy a 6v 1A adapter if you don't want to rely on batteries.
So far very impressed with this equipment - good quality and ease of use. Sometimes the first reading can seem a bit high but subsequent recordings seem to settle down fine and is pretty consistent.
PROS: . Good build quality . Easy to use . APP is very good, records a wealth of info . Atrial Fibrillation and irregular heartbeat detection
CONS: . Haven't found any cons yet
