Omron HV-F128 Questions & Answers
VerifiedHi, How powerful is this unit. I need something quite strong.
Hello, This unit has heaps of power and pulse / frequency options. I got it to help with osteo pain relief in elbow and back / lower back. For me on some of the more " robust" output options I rarely get the power level more than 60%. I have found it to be very strong in some instances, but " strong" is subjective and not definitive, some people have higher tolerance than others but for me it has been very good. The pads work well, can be washed and used multiple times. I purchased after market pads as the Omron oem pads are expensive, but the after market pads are probably not as good as the oem.
How long do cables last for omrom hvf128. Looked after. Batteries fine. Tried new batteries. Machine turns on but off almost immediately with no stimulation felt Thank you
HV cables can last more then 2 years ,if it is not damaged and properly maintained. check your LLPAD and replace LLPAD if not sticking in the body for stimulation.
HOw do you maintain the cables. I loosely wrap them on the hard plastic that the pads sit on but can't see anywhere to maintain them. Thanks
Why would my machine with new batteries, run for a few seconds, then switch off?
Take your battery out for couple minutes and put back in. If that doesn't work it's time to visit shop where you purchased for warranty claim.
Hi Meril. My apologies for the delayed response. This can happen if the batteries are low, and can also depend on the quality of the battery. my feet and legs slightly numb/cold can the tens machine be helpful
See a chiropractic and acupuncture for spine issues. You may need daily and regular stretch to fix that. No machines is going to help with that. But you can. See a doctor for artery blockage CT Scan check, if you don't feel having spine issues as the cold legs may mean lack of blood supply.
Thank you for your advice - it is much appreciated. Hazel D.
Hi Mike - your statement no machine is going to fix that is not strictly true. There is at least one study i have seen where Tens increases blood flow which may be the cause of numb /cold feet. Also how will accupuncture fix this ?? Likewise stretching, although any movement is going to help.
can I use this machine for Peripheral Neuropathy
can this Tens machine be helpful for Peripheral Neuropathy
Im 53 with bad osteo. Which vibrator would be best for me?
These type of equipment are claimed to be good for muscles, which I even doubt that. For such issue like what you seem to have, I don't see any use of such equipment. There are good medications prescribed by doctors, combined with good life style, good diet including salmon fish (oven baked), vegies, etc. and having sun to bump up different type of vitamin D's in the body should be more helpful that these equipment. Good luck mate!
I want to know if I can use the omron hv- 128 on my neck? All tens Machines say avoid putting them on beck area but this is where my pain is and exactly where I want to use it. It's doesn't say not to out it on your neck on this- would it be ok?
You shouldn't use it on your neck. More over you really don't need to do so. If the pain is too much I suggest acupuncture and a few times of daily massage by yourself. A good option is to also visit a chiropractic. The best simplest stretch you could do is to lie on your back and let your head and neck hang off the side of the bed and hold for as much as you can, then gradually turn to your left or right. Weight of the head would stretch the neck mussels and in a few months you would forget that you ever had pain. But keep stretching!
