Much better than I was expecting – I must admit that the main selling point on this chainsaw was the self-sharpening feature. I needed a saw to get through a large pile of hardwood posts that were left over from a building demolition and knew that the number of cuts I was going to have to make through very old hardwood was going to mean lots of resharpening. easy and I even used it to saw up some old redgum stumps that have been laying out in the paddock for 3 years. For those who mentioned the chain falling off I would suggest you didn't read the instructions and tighten the chain correctly. As a 57 year old woman who hasn't used a chainsaw for years I found it very easy to use and particularly like the safety feature where the chain stops as soon as you let go of the trigger.
Dissapointing – Purchased from bunnings. Used for three hours, intermittently. Worked fine on small, solid branches. Then tried to trim small branches. Design of deep teeth and shallow chain guide caused bouncing of bar and chain came off three times. Gave up and used loppers. Then used chainsaw on a larger trunk. stopped working. Neither chain nor motor were particularly hot. Left overnight to cool completely. Still not working. Returned for refund.
No spares available from bunnings – Saws ok, you will have to go hunting for spares somewhere other than bunnings though. Took me a long time to wade though the internet to find a bar. Show details
