Terrible – Great camera let down by poor customer support. The ring mount around the camera is pretty flimsy, and now that mine as broken Oregon Scientific in Australia will not supply a replacement, and although available from their USA site it cannot be purchased internationaly. Customer support could not care less, and have been no help at all. Would no… Read more

buy another Oregon Scientific product again. Relatively cheap, waterproof, compact Camera mount is flimsy. Buttons are hard to use.

Terrible – Having reviewed this camera soon after first using it, I have since discovered a further, significant problem that was not immediately obvious. The mounting fitting, which is designed to allow rotation of the camera to get different angles, is also the tightening mechanism to hold the camera in place. Once tightened sufficiently to stop the… Read more

camera from moving within the bracket, there is no way to then loosen it without applying more force to the mounting clip than it is designed to take as there is no other way to grip it strongly enough without using pliers that damage the plastic. Sooner or later, if you have to change the camera angle, the mounting clip will break, rendering the camera useless until a replacement mounting kit is purchased. While these are not difficult to order, it is an additional and unwanted expense.

Weakness in the attachment fitting.

OK – Good unit for the price, gives surprisingly good video and is water proof (been tested many times). 2gb card is limiting but cards are cheap enough now to have a bunch of them. Small all in one and cheap enough not to be worried about it. Sound is poor and doesn't take vibrations.

Good – The ATC2K is one of my favourite toys. Search uTube for heaps of extreme tests. eg bikes, planes, rockets, water-sports. Controls are very basic with 3 buttons, status display, SD slot, USB socket, AV out and 2xAA batteries. There is NO preview screen or viewfinder, whatsoever. You can fit 1hr of 640x480x25fps AVI on a 2Gig SD. It's… Read more

small and light enough to fit in the palm of your hand and sneak it onto theme-park rides.

The casing is heavily rubberised and can take a hiding. It's only "weatherproof" rated, NOT "waterproof", but does the job with excellence.

It comes with an assortment os straps and brackets which are somewhat flimsy and can cause wobble. Use cable-ties for added strength.

The inbuilt mic is also waterproof and therefore terrible. Dub in some background music before posting on uTube. Cheap. Small. Nearly indestructable. Weak attachment. Poor sound. Display difficult to read.
