Ozito AGG100A Questions & Answers
VerifiedHas anyone that has purchased Ozito grinders find the flange spanner pins bend ? I used this grinder for first time and as I tightened the flange the pins bent and did not use any brute force . I am not happy as I have worn out a disk already today with minor use and now unable to replace worn disk so I now must make a mercy dash to Bunnings and either buy a new spanner or simply seek refund or replacement. I guess it comes down to what you pay for and what to expect after all it is an Ozito , cheap and nasty. Yes another lesson learnt !
Can i use a cutting wheel on an ozito 115mm angle grinder ?
Can i use a cutting wheel on an ozito 115mm angle grinder
I have used mine for cutting.Make sure you get the right disc, you will need different discs for steel, bricks etc.Be careful to cover machine vent with a cloth to stop dust getting into the motor. (if you are cutting limestone, grano, bricks etc.
The switch wont turn on, do I need to push the red button too or just push the switch towards the top of grinder
How do I use this to cut masonry . The cutting disc is 4 inches and the flange is 4.1/4 inches then the safety guard is over both? Where is the cutting surface of the disc when it is covered by flange?
I've used the angle grinder many times for cutting and grinding. The only trouble I've had until now is the sticky on-switch. But recently I put on a concrete-cutting wheel. It worked fine for 15 minutes or so, on pretty hard concrete, but then the wheel started slipping. I thought maybe I'd put the wrong ring on it, but I hadn't. However, the flange wasn't holding the wheel properly - the wheel doesn't seem thick enough. I wondered if I'd been putting the outer flange on upside-down all this time (clutching at straws) so I looked at the manual. But the manual is hopeless. It's got the inner and outer flanges labelled the wrong way round, and shows the grinding wheel being installed from the bottom! Who does that?
So, my question (at last) is: What could I be doing wrong? I'm pretty sure it must be something to do with the washer or flange. Can anyone supply a diagram?
If it worked fine for 15 minutes then I can assume you had the flange on the right way and it was tightened sufficiently. The ring protruding on the outer flange should fit into the hole of the thicker grinding disk and reverse the flange for the thinner cutting disks. Other than that I'm not sure what else to do. I don't have a manual however there is an online one here. external link
Thank you, JC. I found a more detailed manual, and it confirmed what you said, i.e. that the flange has to be reversed for cutting. I did that and the problem is now solved. I guess I'd just been lucky in the past when I had managed to use a cutting wheel effectively without reversing the flange.
Thanks again for taking the trouble to help me.
How to operate 100mm Ozito angle grinder?
Need a bit more info - BUT whatever you do, don NOT do what I nearly did - which is to press the brake button when getting it going - can damage the unit.
