Paklite Cyborg

Total waste of money – I saved Flybuys points for several years and decided to treat my husband and I each to new suitcases. We chose the large Cyborg. The first one had a wheel almost snapped off on it's second use on a trip to Melbourne and the second case failed on our third trip in exactly the same way. Fortunately, this time the damage occurred on the trip home so we didn't have to run around and purchase a replacement bag in order to fly home. Both cases were rendered useless afterwards and ended up in the bin. Obviously there is a major design fault as all the reviews seem to describe similar failures. Very disappointing when we thought that by purchasing an expensive suitcase, we could look forward to many years of travel with it. Not to be!

Paklite Cyborg - Great Disappointment – I purchased the grey cyborg medium suitcase because I was told Paklite is a good brand. I had expected the suitcase to last me for a number of oversea trips. I was very disappointed that on my 2nd overseas trip, 3 of the wheels - 1 popped out and the other 2 had ripped from the base of the suitcase. I was very disappointed the airline only compensated $85 for the damage!! I was even more disappointed that I have not even had a reply from Paklite when I wrote to them about what had happened.

Wheel problem - but quick replacement – Wheel base cracked after second destination then after 4 more destinations fell of completely. BUT I have nothing but praise for Paklite's customer service - got a replacement within 1 week and an even better case. Never had such good service b4 - good on you Paklite.

Devastated Twice Over. Incredible Waste Of Money – After backpacking around Europe I decided my next extended trip I would use a suitcase. After researching online I decided on a Packlite four wheel trolley case. I am a short person so 2 wheels often means the bottom of my case gets ruined fairly quickly. I was devastated when after 2 weeks of travel all four of the wheels had essentially shredded. I was left dragging the case for the next 4 weeks of my trip.

I contacted Packlite as soon as the issue was evident, wonderful I thought when they affected to send new wheels to me.

Unfortunately it is near impossible to fit the new wheels. The case is rendered useless. Over $200 for two weeks of functionality.

Very disappointed! – Some other family members and myself gave an overseas trip to a much loved older family member, a pensioner with a serious debilitating illness. I put a lot of time into researching which suitcase would be best, needing it to be light but sturdy, easy to manoeuvre, and easy to wipe clean. I thought that the Paklite would be perfect. I was mortified to hear that one of the spinner wheels simply snapped off on the first leg of the trip. She had to use her spending money to replace the suitcase, and with no way to transport the case home, had to abandon it at her accommodation overseas.

Maybe the suitcase was dropped by the baggage handlers, maybe another case was thrown down next to it. I don't know what happened, but I honestly expected that such an expensive case would be built to cope with typical baggage handling.
