No WiFi option in menu.
I turned on the player with the intent to try Netflix. When it started up it went through an easy setup, but no it option to connect wirelessly came up. When I went into the setup menu it also had no option to connect to the WiFi network. In a day and age where wireless connection is an essential I found this to be extremely poor.

A great let-down for this company
Unlike my review of a Panasonic television which was given 5 stars, this Blu Ray player has been a disappointment. The first one, purchased in July 2017, seemed okay for a while but then stopped playing Blu Ray discs. I obtained a replacement in November and after a short while found it to be quite noisy. It was like a light grinding noise as if the mechanism is searching the disc to read it. I never noticed it initially but it became apparent when playing movies or concerts with very light passages in them. I have to some extent become used to...it and thought it might not be a strong enough reason to go and seek a third one. The colours are reproduced well as is the sound. Often the unit freezes and can only be recovered by switching it of at the mains and switching it back on again. The remote has a design flaw that puts the Netflix button right near the main operating controls. This button when pressed accidentally leads the unit to try to find Netflix before giving you the message about no connection and allowing you to opt out back to whatever you were doing. The unit in general is also somewhat slow to start. I think I have been unlucky to find a couple of lemons from a company that I would expect better of. Also difficult to upgrade the software. This experience won't stop me from buying Panasonic again, but maybe you won't have a problem.
