Panasonic DMR-BW750 / 500 / 850 Questions & Answers
Verifiedhow can i play a region 2 dvd on my player
Hi David, Thank you for your question. Good news! Our DVD/Blu-Ray players and recorders can be multi-region unlocked, for free. Just present your proof of purchase, bringing along your Panasonic player or recorder to a Panasonic Authorised Repairer who will give you an ETA unlocking of your unit. Please Note: This service is for DVDs only, as Blu-ray multi-region unlocking is not possible, due to Australian copyright laws. To locate an Authorised Service Centre near you, please contact 132 600 to discuss. MM
Thank You David McKinlay
You are most welcome David. MM
Its a pity that the DMR-BW850 does not support MPEG-4 and also it is very thin on supporting the tv guide...All the HD Tv channels are missing when you do a scan for tv channels...you would think that since it supports 4K upscaling, Blu ray recording and has a premium look and feel yet it falls down on the last hurdle of providing a decent set of HD channels in the tv guide...for this reason alone i can't recommend this dvd recoder to anyone..a lot of older models in this brand and others accomodate this basic function...
Hi Gabriel K, thanks for your feedback, it has been passed on to the development team.
I have the DMR-BWT750 and it receives all HD channels. It's nearly 8-10 years old now. My previous machine was a DMR-BW880 which didn't pickup HD channels except the ABC 24 channel which was HD before the commercial channels and was obviously a different codec than those. Not sure on the BW-850.
I guess yours receives the hd channels because yours is a bwt model and mine is only a bw model. Obviously the T model is way more superior.
is the panasonic DMR-BWT 750 also a tween tuner recorder
I would like to know if thr PanasonicDMR-BWT 750 is a tween tuner recorder

Hi Tony, I can confirm that the DMR-BW750GL is a Twin Tuner model. Although discontinued, it has a DVB-T x 2 Tuner System. With this feature you can record two programs at once. For further assistance, please call 132 600 to speak with a Panasonic Representative, who will be more than happy to help. MM

Can I connect to Netflix via the Wi-Fi connectivity? I can get a manual Wi-Fi connection to my IPad but I’m not sure what the next step is. Hello, I have a DMR-BW750 and I tried to copy a number of recorded titles to a Verbatim DB-R Blu-ray disc and it appears that the disc was formatted to 4.7G not 25G. I have had no problems previously copying to the Blu-rays discs. Also are there software upgrades for the DMR-BW750? Thanks Rod.
