Great TV – The TV is a great quality build with its metal frame and the picture quality is fantastic. Had this for a few years and it served me more than well! The apps can be a bit slow to navigate, but work smoothly. Show details ·  1

Waste of money – Smart TV features stopped working after a few years. Did a factory reset as suggested by Panasonic. Then had big problems with turning the television on. Repair person said a board needs to be replaced but Panasonic later told me they can’t supply the part as it’s not available anymore. Panasonic customer service not helpful . resolution. Actually offered to sell me another Panasonic for similar price.

Won’t buy any Panasonic products after this experience.

Disappointing Picture Quality And Subsequent Warranty Requests – Bought new in Feb 2015. Initially please with the picture, however upon watching any sport where there is panning left or right, can see vertical shading or banding on the screen, Banding tests showed it up also. Organised a warranty repair, the day before repair pickup it also failed with a line of horizontal pixels. The A2 board was replaced by… Read more

authorised repairer, however the banding issue remained. Several additional calls to Panasonic regarding the issue has confirmed that shading is known to them but no offer to replace or to repair. Authorised repairer has indicated that whilst the unit could be sent back for repair, the shading issue is a "limitation of the backlit technology" and essentially nothing could be done. Very disappointed with Panasonic's response.

Great TV for the lounge room – I have had the TV for 10 months now. No issues at all. Picture quality is very good. I much prefer Plasma TV picture quality over LED. Seeing how close this TV comes with colour reproduction and fluid movement compared to the plasma was comforting. Smart App menu is easy to navigate. I-View, SBS On Demand, You Tube all work very well with no… Read more

software issues. Being able to search for a Youtube video on the phone and play it through the TV is an awesome feature, as searching via remote control is not a great user experience. The only negative for me is the sound quality. Being such a thin framed television, this is to be expected as there is nowhere for air pressure to build for bass reproduction. Thankfully it has Bluetooth connectivity so we connect our portable Bose speaker to it when watching a movie or TV show requiring decent sound.

Love it – Does everything and more that I need. Picture looks good to me, built in WiFi, USB recording, HDMI ports ! It also has the "Netflix" app built in so no need for a Chromecast device to watch Netflix. There is also a remote control app for both Apple and Android phones/tablets. Bought this in March 2015 from Dick Smiths on special for $699.

do not buy!!! – Brought home TV today, unable to use "smart" options because it needs updating. Freezes on update screen and unable to do anything but a hard reset. Then downloaded update from panasonic website, (harder than you would think), plugged SD card into tv, can read SD card but then freezes again. Need an engineering degree to navigate this TV. … Read more

Keeps getting stuck in menus asking for buttons to be used on the remote that don't exist!

Will be taking this TV back tomorrow and going to anything else, SONY, LG or SAMSUNG this one is terrible.

very good picture quality and functionality – We were heading to buy the very last panasonic plasma which is an outstanding tv but checked out this tv at jb. Price was attractive but not the cheapest, wasnt interested in lower cost equivilents because of quality. The smart function of this tv is very good and works well. With a foxtel hd iq 2 high def recorder the playback results are… Read more

excellent. Blu ray playback is very good (made sure i got a good quality panasonic 3d bluray which is one of the best) and the 3D bluray playback is very very good. When i first set the tv up i was a bit disappointed by the std tv playback but after renewing the tv cable with new quad core from the top of the antenna through the powered splitter to the wall outlet the picture was excellent - digital tv is unforgiving of the slightest drop off in signal through less than optimum cabling. All round very good tv for the money.

Great picture quality – I bought this the other day and very impressed with it. I took my time and looked at different TVs in the store. I compared the picture quality and viewing angles of other brands around the same price range. And to my surprise the Panasonic TH-55AS700A was better than Samsung, LG or Sony. I'm not sure why would anyone say it hasn't got good… Read more

picture quality. I was comparing TVs for about an hour looking at each and everyone of them and the Panasonic TH-55AS700A is just FANTASTIC!!!

Picture Quality Just not cutting it – I bought this tv a few days ago on a special from a local store in Perth. After taking it out of the box and being really excited by the beautiful metal framed design, I turn it on and well....what can I say, not happy! The picture quality really isn't much better than an 8 year old Tesco brand tv that I bought over in the uk. For HD movies it's… Read more

good, but day to day tv watching on channels that are not broadcast in HD, there is almost no difference in picture quality....pretty upset really. Pic looks washed out, not sharp and even after altering picture settings and making sure everything was set to HD and HDMI cables were all good/new it didn't make any difference. The smart function on it seem good and connects to my home internet ok. My advice...go with a Samsung, LG or Sony.
