Panasonic VDR-D160

Good – Is the cheapest i've owned but results indicate it is a quality product. Have a supplementary battery and recommend one to travellers. Hard to be dissatisfied. User friendly quality pictures (colour & resolution). Tolerates low light lightweight and is value for money. Took it overseas - fell off my hand but functions well. Zoom is handy but like all ccorder a tripod is recommended for zooming. Happy. Mix of features is handy Av cable for downloading is a propriety cable and not readily available if replacement is necessary. Bought some Sony dvd's in Europe. Appeared to record ok but is not responding when played back. Not sure about the audio capture and clarity.
