Hi. I purchased the 4-in-1 food processor. During steaming, it beeped 5 times and stopped steaming altogether. The manual said that if there is something wrong with the assembly, the equipment will not start, so I assume there is no issue with assembly of parts. There is enough water in the tank. Descaled as well. What could be the problem? Thank you.

Hi, I have philips avent 4n1 food maker. The steaming function works only 4 minutes. I put 200ml water for 20 minutes and only steam 4 minutes. Is there any problem?

We would like to suggest you that whenever you use a 240-ml storage pot, always set the time to 25 minutes. Always remember that for a 240-ml storage pot, pour water to the maximum water level marking indicated on the side of the water tank, or the MAX water level. For more detailed information, we recommend referring to the user manual that came with the product.

Hi our food maker made 3 beeps at the end of the steam cycle instead of 1. There wasn't any water left in the tank, so the cycle completed succesfully. There isn't any mention about this in the manual. Am I supposed to be extra cautious about something? Thanks

Hi there, After steaming, when I flip the jar around to either blend or open so much water comes out of sieve is this normal? It’s not just from veg. It happened when I steamed lamb the other day too. Have I not connected it correctly? Thanks

Is it normal to have water with the vegetables after steaming? Should i throw the water away
Hi Dina, thank you for your question. It is perfectly normal to have some liquid leftovers when steaming food using a steamer. This happens as the steamed particles of the vegetable condensate. Though there may be some nutritional value in the liquid, you can choose what you do with it based on your preference.

I have just purchased Philips Avent Baby Food maker 4-1 and I was wondering if it’s possible to steam veggies that need different steam time together? For example carrots (20min)and then add another veggie that needs less time?

Hi, Lynette. Thank you for leaving your question. In this case, the blade unit might be blocked, because there is too much food in the jar. Switch off the appliance and process a smaller quantity; do not let the device blend for more than 30 seconds We also remind you that the appliance is intended for: - pureeing steamed and cooked ingredients for baby food - blending fluids and fruits for baby drinks The Baby food Maker is not intended for chopping hard ingredients such as ice cubes and sugar cubes.

Thanks for getting back to me. I did have a small amount of pumpkin in there. I also did an empty trial run and the blender still did not work.

Can i use it to blend cooked food directly without using the steamer?

Just bought this and it makes such a high pitched noise which was really unpleasant. Definitely can’t make baby food while baby is asleep! Is this normal? If it is I’ll be sending it back

First, There may be too much food in the jar. If that is the case, we recommend you to switch off the appliance and process a smaller quantity. Second, maybe the sieve is not attached to the lid of the jar. Double-check to see if that may be the case to easily solve the issue.

Hi, my avent steamer blender has water inside the jar everytime it finish steaming. Is it normal? And is that water supposed to be blended with the food to produce puree? Or to throw away? Thank you
How much water should i put for one potato
Hi there, Sandy Thanks for your question. You can find a list of steaming times for different ingredients in the manual. These steaming times correspond with the amount of water needed. For potatoes it's 20 min and 200 ml of water. Make sure that all food has to be cut in small cubes, no bigger than 2-3cm and do not exceed the top edge of the green blade unit.
