Doesn’t work – Was given this by my cousin and Have only used this a handful of times and realised it does not heat milk warm enough. The buttons are also really difficult to press (especially when holding baby with the other arm), the shape makes it impossible to press buttons with one hand. Also not very intuitive .. it doesn’t remember last used settings or… Read more

have a memory button. Not user friendly as you have to hold start button for three seconds, then scroll through the options milk or food, room temp, fridge or frozen (every single time you heat up) and then enter the ml and water content again. Would not recommend.

Doesn't work! – There's a long list of items I bought while preparing for the arrival of my first child & this Avent warmer is the biggest waste of money. The buttons are so hard to press, the milk, even at room temperature, never get warm enough. We put this bottle warmer away then took it back out for another try, after 4-5 times, we just gave up. Is my product faulty or is it just not working as I expected? So disappointed.

Absolute Rubbish! – We brought this warmer because we are using the Avent bottles and microwave sterialiserAt first glance it looks like this will make life so much easier, the concept is great but in reality the warmer is so inconsistant and just doesn't do the job. Even if the milk is at room temp and you select the correct amount of liquid, it still doesn't warm… Read more

the milk anywhere near an acceptable temp. you have to repeat the process again & sometime a 3rd time, then it will be too hot.

If it was consistant then you could work out what tyou should set it to, but its not, same amount, same starting room temp, different result everytime. Our daughter ends up screaming for her food because you are busy mucking around trying to get the temp warm or cool enough for her to drink. She is starting to get used to cold milk now just because its so difficult to get it right.

I would no way recomend using this product, we have thrown ours away and gone to boiling the kettle. saves water...? Doesnt do what it is supposed to do, inconsistant,

Best product for busy mums – When my daughter was born i used to use the microwave to heat up her bottle but found every microwave had different settings and therefore inconsistent on warming and not to mention hot spots. Now that my son was born I used to warm the bottle in a jug with boiled water from the kettle. While that was good, i felt as though I was leaving the… Read more

bottle in the water to long and I was going through a lot of water. With the Philips Avent Digital Bottle Warmer i only use 30mls of water to heat bottle from fridge or room temp and it’s amazing! I can put the bottle in the warmer, walk away to comfort my son and then go back to it when it beeps! Once its done, i wipe down the bottle, check the temp and then walk away to feed him and the Philips Avent Digital Bottle Warmer turns it self off. Amazing product and will continue to use it when he starts on solids. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product :)) Easy to use, turns it self off, uses little water to heat Expensive but worth it

Excellent – This unit has to be the best on the market. I honestly do not care that it doesn’t fit any other brand of product as Avent has everything I have needed. Admittedly a microwave may be quicker - but this is my baby and I would prefer for her to be upset for the few minutes it takes to heat her food than to know that I burnt her throat because I… Read more

heated her bottle in the microwave.

Points from other reviews

- Steadiness of unit is not a problem as there are now rubber grips on the

bottom of the unit

- It does not matter that this unit does not have a thermostat as it heats

according to the volume in the bottle, not the temperature of the liquid

and then it shuts off

- Not replacing the water in the unit each time will affect the temperature that a bottle is heated to - Uses less water than a normal bottle warmer

- Automatic shut off

- Fast (really no need to worry about predicting when bub will need a

feed as milk is ready in around two minutes!)

- Safer than using a microwave, milk does not continue to heat after the

appliance has shut off (no hot spots!)

- Heats according to the temperature (ie room, fridge or frozen) and

quantity (mls) of food in the bottle or container and then automatically

shuts off

- Buttons can be confusing to start with although once you have the hang

of it, it’s very easy to operate

- Appliance beeps to say when milk is heated, if bottle is left in the

warmer for a further minute a second series of beeps will sound

- Bottle is heated by steam

- Safer than bottle warmers that use water to heat or using boiling water

from the kettle in a jug or cup, as only 30mls of water is used and

water is not visible

- Compact design

- Easy to clean – with natural products (vinegar and water) and unit

indicates when this needs to be done - Only fits ‘Phillips Avent’ brand products

- Has been inconsistent with the temperature that it heats to at times

(although it may have just been me being frazzled)

- Buttons can be confusing to start with although once you have the hang

of it, it’s very easy to operate

- Price RRP is $130.05 but we bought it off eBay for half that and it is

worth every cent

- Two hands needed, so bub has to be put down (If you are worried about

safety though you should probably be putting bubs down whenever you a

heating a bottle by any method!?)

Inconsistant – I find it impossible to get consistent results with this bottle warmer. Sometimes the milk comes out icy cold, other times boiling hot. Handy, Time Saver – Initially I was disappointed with this warmer as I found it difficult to tell when the right temperature had been reached. So, I bought a water thermometer and place it in the bottle while it is inside the warmer. I now find this product to be excellent, very handy and quick to heat up from room or fridge temperatures. Quick, easy to use, time saving. Need a water thermometer to be able to tell when the correct temperature is reached. Show reply

Very useful! – Absolutely love this bottle warmer! Makes life so much easier for me! I don't have to run to the kettle every time I need to warm milk. So easy to even warm food! Easy to clean as well.. Its god sent , as I have always been bottle feeding! Keeps milk warm for longer when inside! Not as good as I thought it would be – I purchased a avent pack that included the bottle warmer. After a number of uses I found it didn't warm the bottle fast enough and when it did the milk was too hot( bubs is screaming for milk by now) this added another few mins of running the bottle under cold water. Although the item has three heat settings none of these were the fit I… Read more

It has a mechanism where it switches off and on after a couple of minutes. I gave up and now use the hot water heated from the kettle & have extra bench space in my kitchen. Super quick and reliable – After experiencing frustrations with the chicco food and bottle warmer, I was looking for a warmer that was super quick and reliable with temperature. The avent digital bottle warmer is it. Very quick to heat and great that you can identify whether the bottle is already room temperature, chilled, or frozen plus the amount. And it is relatively compact. Quick to heat The buttons are a bit fiddly.

Can't live without – I find this product great for heating and I like that temp of food or milk may vary so my baby doesn't get to fussy and only eat or drink if a certain temp. Could be great but isn't – We bought two of these as we have twins and need every bit of help we can get. The key issues we have with this product are: it's really hard to use one handed - you need to butt it up against a wall so it doesn't fall over as you press the buttons; the icons and nos are tiny and really hard to read when you're bleary eyed at 3am; setting the… Read more

warmer for the right temperature is through trial and error, which kind of defeats the purpose; there is inconsistency in warming temperatures; if you don't get to the bottle in time (which can happy with a baby)and it sits in the warmer for more than a few minutes, it can end up way too hot; the top ring around the Avent bottles we use end up VERY hot, which could be dangerous as we usually have a baby in one arm (plus they often like to hold it when feeding); AND there's got to be a better way for emptying the warmers (particularly when you've got a baby in one hand). Having said that, once you get it down pat, it provides some convenience (but not much more than a bowl of warm water). Once you get the hang of it, it can add some convenience See our comments - just not user-friendly enough

Terrible – Just read the review below and I completely agree. The settings don't work properly. It overheats or underheats and never seemed to get it right. Eventually it broke down after 3 weeks. Good – This warmer is easier to use than the electric one because it has volumes and states on it. OK – This is a great machine that we use daily. We use it to for milk and frozen fruit/vege puree and it heats the food to the same temperature every time. There are two niggling problems. The other problem is that when there is some kind of problem (unit needs descaling, top not one properly, etc) it just flashes its lights and beeps. You have to go dig out the manual to try to work out what's going on. When you're run off your feet with the kids it's the last thing you want to have to think about. Compact and reliable. Heats well. Hard to use when holding a baby. Error states are confusing.

OK – this iq bottle/food warmer does an adequate job. However I have found that it does not warm the milk in the bottle enough even though I had set it as per the instructions. Terrible – Bought this warmer after reading the reviews on this site. The warmer is extremely inconsistent with temperature. Good – For those who want to take the professionals word and not use microwaves this is a great product (certainly better than warming up on the stove), but if you are happy to use the microwave that is a better solution. Still takes a couple of minutes to warm up so when you have a screaming child who is hungry it still takes too long.

Pretty easy to use. Price- I got mine at a cheap chemist for $116, but normally go for alot more than that. The buttons are difficult to push and you need two free hands as the whole appliance will scoot across the bench otherwise. The VIA cups are difficult to get out after it has warmed.
