This device is amazing! – I just bought it and I used it on my pubic area as soon as it finished charging. Defnitely use in the shower with a small amount of soap or conditioner for lubrication. The first use is a bit more painful but I can see that the worst is already over. The device was even able to get the hair on my soft mushy and pliable skin areas once I found the correct technique for keeping the skin tight. Surprisingly less painfull there than I expected. The thickest hairs offered the most pain, but it was still less painful than waxing. Don't let the pain comments scare you, you quickly adjust to it and it becomes a non-issue. As a man, I also have fairly thick hair.
I recommend attacking small areas first, then spreading out from there once the device isn't finding any new hairs. I also recommend trimming very closely first. The device picks up even the shortest of hairs, so don't worry. And the shorter the hair, the less your skin is pulled. I also recommend starting larger, thicker, areas by moving sideways across the area. Doing so helps thin the area out before moving against the grain.

An EXCELLENT epilator, for all body areas – After trying 5 different epilators to replace my old, corded Philips Satinelle epilator - I’ve circled right around and come to the conclusion that Philips truly knows what they’re doing. For me, the Brauns (I bought, tried and returned three) yanked on the skin aggressively in sensitive areas (even the ones which claim to be “gentle”!), and caused tears and bleeding. Philips is the only one that makes epilating the most sensitive areas actually possible, without too much pain and no bleeding/cuts. I cannot live without this and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid epilator.

Does the job well – Bought this after my 20 year old epilator died. It has twice as many tweezers as my old one, so is quicker, and also seems less painful. I love the cordless and the pedicure head. Very happy with my purchase
