Polaris Hawkeye 2x4

Very nice – Goes pretty much everywhere with good tires, outperforms similar quads of similar size. The only downside for me is the Automatic gearbox. Make sure you put all the plugs back in, doesn't work well in deep water without them (keeps slipping, once it's on land for a minute or two it's fine.) Very nice suspension, very nice to ride. Bigger and better tires will help a lot.

Good basic quad – Never had a problem with this bike.. Regularly serviced goes every time. I added a factory winch and upgraded to brighter led headlights.. Bike used for camping/hunting, so carries fair load..good fuel capacity.. Factory tyres suck and were upgraded to 6 ply..Easy for beginner to use..Overall I like it and would have to spend big $$$ to find something better for my needs, however a replacement machine would be much heavier and complex. Show details

Best quad out – Never a problem. Goes every where I want it to. Creek Beds, Hills, paddocks. Awesome machine. Great machine. I talked a mate into Polaris and never had a problem. Looking for one now for the wife, she loves mine and I find it hard to get her off it. Best Buy.  Show details

Piece of rubbish – Has always been hard to start , even after taking back to dealer . Electrical problem which leaves you to walk home (apparently nothing wrong there either ) And to top it all off 300hrs on the clock it started using oil and smoking like a train . Biggest piece of crap I have ever owned .

Poor effort polaris – Mine has cracked all the suspension across the rear, the bushes wear out real fast . plus one front shock broke. I've remade most the quad frame due to it cracking due to poor steel used on it. Plus I've had heaps of problems with the electronics blowing fuses.

Poor lighting – I found the bike to have an excellent ride. I find it incredible that Polaris hasn’t fitted high beam to this australian model. Low beam is poor!!! Design for australia farms; only if you ride it during the day.!! Smooth ride Poor lighting. No high beam

STRUCTURAL UNSOUND – My rear suspension cracked and completely failled after riding on sealed roads for approx 2000km - no offroad other than ramps onto a 6x4 trailer. They have a recall on these bikes for this reason in america but not australia. Pick up your game polaris! Easy to ride and smooth Very weak chassis - beware if it fails
