Dry/hard pieces in Polident denture cream – After using Polident denture cream for many years, I have a tube that is tightly closed and still has numerous dry/hard pieces in it.. and very difficult to squeeze cream out..after 3 uses of finding hard pieces .. then followed with instant removal of denture and re application of cream.. I am unable to use it as feels like ‘a stone’ between denture and gums… Show details

Dreadful – Worst product. Bring back the powder. Easier to use and no waste. This stuff is useless. Hard to get out of the tube, and comes out in bits. Really want the powder form back. At least you then have a choice.

Poor adhesion – This product does hold denture in place, when having any drinks or food the adhesive fails. The adhesive sticks to the gums and leaves an unpleasant aftertaste, this aftertaste goes when having a drink, there have been no side effects In my view false advertising of the product. Not impressed... Show details

Everyday – I use this product everyday because it is only cute when babies are little gummy bears, socially unacceptable when one is an adult. I have been using it for many years. I use the fresh or the natural, but I prefer ‘fresh’ because it you can literally taste and feel the freshness. The trick is to use a small amount, using too much will cause it to… Read more

‘overflow’ to the outside of your denture, making it feel quite unpleasant. They both come in a 60gr tube for around $15

Never put worst thing in my mouth – I followed instructions. Ended up washing it of my dentures and my mouth for 15 minutes. I expected a smooth, compact material to form. I cant see where I could do a mistake, as instructions are very simple.

Polident Maxi Seal – The ingredients are exactly the same as normal polident but more expensive; we are paying extra money only for a smaller nozzle. A marketing illusion of an improved product. Not!! Show details

20% air in tube – I’ve grown accustomed to Polident adhesive, both the flavoured and unflavoured options. I’ve also tried the Steradent brand and noticed little difference in performance. Probably no denture adhesive is going to work perfectly, and a key factor is ensuring the dentures are completely clean and dry when applying the adhesive. Indeed, I’ve found that… Read more

liquids, especially hot liquids like coffee and tea will gradually reduce effectiveness over the course of the day. However, those experiencing serious problems may have ill-fitting dentures to start with, and need to have them reviewed by their dentist and denture specialist. I’m no expert, but I do know that dentures need to be a very close fit to begin with, with adhesive only enhancing an already good fit.

My main gripe with Polident is that every tube I buy contains at least 20% air. Yes, we pay by weight, but I can do without the air in the tube. Surely the packaging machinery can pack the product without the air. Would be interesting to hear from a GSK representative on this subject.

Not worth the money!!!! – Bought the new Polident maxi seal denture paste, big mistake, the tube keeps drying up and becomes very difficult to squeeze the paste out, and it's not exactly cheap overall I'll never buy again, I will stick with sterodent paste half the price and never dries out... Show details

Polydent is useless – Being new to the game of dentures I had to buy a fixative, not much choice out there in chemist land, in fact there's only a few to choose from. I watch the polydent ad on TV and think what liars they are, as soon as food or drink enter ones mouth the polydent makes a run for it and there you are left with loose dentures.. Why are companies allowed to get away with fraudulent claims?.

terrible terrible – This is so horrible, sticks to everything except the actual denture, cannot get it off your mouth, this product is totally useless, does nothing to hold the teeth in, but glues everything else. Never had so much trouble. Rang the product line for advise and was told I must be the problem because millions use it. Really helpful. IV lost 14… Read more

kilos because I cannot eat. This product does not work. nothing does not stick to the denture, and thats the reason you need to use it
