Pro-Form ab Glider
1 review
Not what i expected – I got this for freewhen i bought a $1000 treadmill from Just Fitness in Victoria. I did have great expectations of swinging and gliding the fat away as it looks like so much fun to use when i see it on the commercials. The truth is i could barely get the thing to move. When i did get some momentum i felt like my body was hunched over in a position which would not be good for my neck or spine. It put a lot of pressure on my knees (which kept sliding forward off the seat). It also had quite a bit of traction noise and a clunk every time the seat hits the end of the rail. I kept checking the instructions to see if it was assembled correctly and it is. Overall it felt like an awkward and pointless activity. That being said, i am very out of shape and weigh about 90kg. Maybe if you are already fit and want to use it for shaping the tummy it might be okay, i don't know. Also it takes up a decent amount of room to be able to swing side to side and it is very heavy to maneuver around. Mine will be dismantled and offered out to friends or family who might want to try it (people are curious to try it and i'd hate to see any one pay for this and get the same result and disappointment that i did.). Although i didn't pay a cent for it, it feels like a waste to throw it away. I had been wanting to try one out but wasn't suer so it was a bonus to get it for free. Came with an instructional DVD. Feels quite solid and strong. Clunking noisewhen the seat hits the end of the rail. Constant heavy grating sound as it moves along the rails. Quite heavy and awkward to move around. Need a lot of room to use it as it swings side to side.
