Total Care Flea Shampoo

It work like a treat – I don't know why there are negative review about this product.. my dog had a lot of fleas on him.. and while I was using the shampoo on him I could see the fleas were dead as i was rinsing.. yeah he was in stress but only cause his getting wet thats all.. after I dried him.. he had nap and was no longer scratching himself vigorously, overall i would recommend this product

If I could give it negative stars I would – This product is HORRIBLE. I'm so disappointed that I didn't look up some reviews before I purchased it. I have a Pomeranian X, and as soon as he got out of the bath he was incredibly distressed. He was running laps around the lounge room, throwing himself on the couch and floor to try rub himself against things. He is itchier now than he was before, I have no idea if the fleas are gone and it's the shampoo that's making him itchy or if it just aggravated the fleas to bite him more. I contacted Purina online and they stated he must be allergic to the main ingredient. They offered no apology, just a refund. If there are this many bad reviews for your product TAKE IT OFF THE SHELVES. Will never purchase Purina products again. I also noticed they've turned off the Reviews on their Facebook page, I wonder why that is? >:(

Should be pulled from sale – This is the new version petlife professional flea control shampoo. directions say to wet the coat thoroughly apply to develop a rich lather leave for 5 mins and rinse. Before the 5 mins was up my dog was crying, whimpering, trying to run away and shaking uncontrollably. Had seen only a couple of fleas and had applied advantix5 days earlier. Rinsed as fast as i could. After rinsing i let the dog off his lead and he ran laps around the yard in distress. No visible skin irritation or burns but i haven't been able to check inside back legs etc yet.

Have contacted store that this was purchased from and they are contacting purina rep.

Would never ever recommend this product and will never purchase any purina products again.

Bad reaction – I used this on my dog and he had a bad reaction. Not to the extent of seizures but he began whimpering and whining and in discomfort. Was also panting a lot and running around the house looking distressed. Was rewashed him and am now monitoring him.

1st time user – within 30 minutes of using this product, our dog developed seisures, foaming at the mouth and could not even stand. we took it to the vet for emergency treatment and was administered an injection. this product claims that it is "Naturally" medicated with a "Synthectic" chemical. Our vet has tried to have this chemical - Permethrin" banned from dog shampoos as it is potentially deadly. We are still awaiting a response from Purina. nothing no warnings of the danger of the chemicals used
