QBE Workers Compensation investigator's have followed me around & have neighbors spying & stalking me but they haven't realised I have a friend who is a PI as well & for very cheap rates for me. My friend has also been following all of you around as well my friend knows everything about you all. Even though my claim has settled (29th May 2026)… Read more

they are still stalking me because I've made it hard for them & I don't back down! They even tried to get local council make me pull down a boarder on nature strip that back fired on them in 2025 & tried again with boarder on 30th June, getting neighbors to complain about it again, which Ihave cctvfootage. I have alot of pictures, dash cam, cctv & a PI that had been resilient. I have been wearing a spying cam when I'm out in community & have enough evidence now. So keep it up as someone is watching you too.

QBE d9 not pay work workcover reimbursements in accordance with SIRA guidelines. I still have outstanding reimbursements as far back as June 2025. SIRA guidelines state you must pay within 10 days. In breach of S16. Failure to contact injured worker within 5 days when new issues are noted on COC. Failure to approve medical referrals within 21… Read more

days. Failure to notify if declined. Failure to get injured worker home. .ICARE stated twice you are suppose to get them home. QBE denied injured worker 4 times so they were stuck in a homeless park surrounded by horrendous drug violence and men trying to get into your tent at 4am. Got the employer to change their story on your pay so they could cut your pay to less than half of what you would be earning forcing injured worker back Into homelessness yet you won't get them home as you are required to do. Pay their case managers $1500 to close your case without a payout. That is why they try to break you so you walk away or like many, take your own life. Unethical, unconsciousable maffia that delight in breaking people, marriages, people oosing their homes and their lives.

Injured at work, country nsw Narrabri region, a fall from machinery in front of co workers and management. Misdiagnosed at hospital but placed in plaster slab as precaution until appt with another hospital 2.5hrs away at their fracture clinic. Second hospital failed to do follow up xrays which would have picked up the broken bone but I doubt all… Read more

the ligament damage. Due to misdiagnosis boss required I keep working after a couple of days off. Walked off the job 2 weeks water due to extreme pain and harassment by fellow worker concerning my pain. Only then did boss decide to contact workcover. They had initially told me they wanted to keep it private! Went to SE Qld to seek medical care. This is still 3500km from my home so i had no medical persons that i knew. Immediate MRI showed broken arm and multiple nasty ligament tears. Placed in plaster. Fast fwd, now developed CRPS.

QBE needs a clean out! First case manager disappeared for 6-8 weeks and we were never informed and no other case manager assigned during this time. Only found out when calling to find out when aprovals for specialist would happen. Upon case managers return I was informed I was getting a new case manager. He was new and a nightmare! Told people involved in my case that I only had a broken arm and nothing was wrong with me and implied I was being fraudulent in my claim. He was instructed too go back and read 2 MRI reports, along with other health professionals reports. He treated me with contempt from the start. He refused to answer my emails period. In the end I wrote a reply too one of his emails stating I was going to request a new case manager, make an official complaint to icare and engage a lawyer. I got a bit of a smart response from him, not surprising. He also tried to get the Rehab person on my case fired. He tried to knock back as many reimbursements as he could. He also requested my GP answer 3 questions for him. This was done and emailed to him. 4 weeks later I found out that this email had mysteriously failed to be on my file and they had been trying to locate it, which they couldn't. That was when they discovered it was originally on 28/5/25, but disappeared from my file. In emails he wrote absolutely inappropriate statements including comparisons of me against a client with 2 crushed limbs! I was actively encouraged to get rid of my GP who was my primary care provider. He also stated in writing amongst other things to another provider that I requested a new female case manager. His attitude towards me was disgusting and extremely distressing. This resulted in very real and serious thoughts of suicide.

And here is the kicker, when I complained to his manager about certain comments including me wanting a female case manager, I was blatently lied to by her. She told me that during a conversation with my GP he requested i have a female case manager. I have since asked him and informed this was a lie and was her suggestion. She also informed me that she told him that I made the request. I have tried to complain many times but thwarted. Case manager took my complaint to her boss, the actual woman who lied to me. Have now tried through someone else who said they will take it to upper management, but I have heard nothing back.

After reading through comments here, I am so saddened by how they have been treated. I now sit here wondering how many now have PTSD after dealing with QBE. No amount of payout will undo the damage they have done.

“Terrible service—constant delays, no accountability” “I lodged a workers comp claim with QBE over 15 months ago, and my experience has been horrible. They rejected my claim only because ED Doctor put the wrong date and they tried to claim my injury wasn’t bad that I would be able to do stuff. work. If I knew that I wouldn’t have gone to ED in the 1st place. I tried to put the claim through again because I did not have enough leave to cover and I had to go LWOP. It affected me mentally as I have 3 independent children and mortgage. I only needed a month off. After rejecting my claim they even congratulated me for final pre-injury duties sign off that I had to pretend I was ok to work because I could not afford anymore time off. Since they rejected my claim I cancelled every insurance I had with QBE and I will make sure I never use them in the future

I am not here to promote anyone in particular. This is based on my experience alone. NEVER trust an insurance company - no one in that company cares for you, your well-being or is there to help you in any way. QBE is no exception. The first thing you should do if you get injured at work, apart from seeing YOUR doctor is to obtain legal advice.… Read more

The Independent Review Office states..."Our Independent Legal Assistance Review Service (ILARS) funds the legal costs of eligible injured workers to pursue their rights and entitlements under the workers compensation scheme. This service provides access to FREE, independent legal advice for injured workers in circumstances where there is a disagreement with insurers regarding entitlements". Whether there is a disagreement or not, find yourself (or through your union) a personal injury lawyer specialising in workers' compensation. You DON'T have to pay out of pocket, so please don't hesitate to find yourself legal representation.

Your legal representative would also be able to help with making a claim for Whole Person Impairment. "You may be entitled to receive a lump sum payment if you have sustained a workplace injury or illness that is permanent in nature. This lump sum payment is in addition to weekly payments, medical and related expenses that your Claims Service Provider may be paying to you."

Secondly, find yourself your own treatment team, from your Nominated Treating Doctor to your specialist, to allied health practitioners, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists. SIRA states "The worker has the right to choose their treating allied health practitioner". Don't let QBE force you to see one of their own!

This should include your own external Rehabilitation Provider. Do NOT use the one that your employer has or the one QBE suggests. You want someone to hold your best interests at heart. Do you think QBE cares?

Keep a record of everything from the time you are injured. Don't be blasé about it. Communicate through emails as much as you can, so that you have a record of everything that is discussed/everything that transpires. Ask for copies of reports (you are entitled to them).....ask to be included in all email communication between your treatment providers and your insurer/employer. Of course, an insurer like QBE will try to fob you off with their excuses galore - don't let that stop you!

Familiarise yourself with what Workers Compensation is all about. Read the Workers Compensation Guidelines including all of the sub-sections. Injured workers have rights which insurers and employers do not want you to know about. They will out rightly treat you like a criminal - this is their way of intimidating you and oppressing you. QBE and its minions are exceptionally good at this!

Use agencies such as the Independent Review Office, the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA), iCare to help you. Complain, complain, complain if you have to! Most of the time, it is the only way to get through this very traumatic process.

Exhausting and frustrating – Had an accident in May 2023 at work. QBE itself to start with was fine, however the Return to Work company they used (Working Life) was such an awful experience. sent to several different specialists, being felt like I was the problem and having every aspect of my life affected, it all came to a head and I attempted suicide and ended up in hospital . After that I felt like QBE thought I was a hot potato, could not get my case manager to return my calls or emails. I was wanting to know answers with regards to 2 people on my team, and instead of my case manager answering, the 2 people in question did. I felt like I was being avoided. After asking for the Managers email address, I finally got a phone call within 30 mins. Since being out of hospital I have had 2 calls, both addressing the option of a settlement and that an email would be sent out with an offer, however I have yet to receive any emails. At this stage I feel like they are messing with my head on purpose, or perhaps they think if they dangle the carrot, they wait to see how desperate you are for a payout. However I have been recommend that you dont take a settlement, it would be better financially to use all the money allocated in the kitty towards wages and medical, which would be a lot more than if you take a payout. I recommend to anyone, do not use the RTW people they allocate, choose your own (I now use Fresh Start) and change your GP if you feel like you are not being heard, pick a team that is on your side. Also dont take a settlement unless it is financially sound and your not out of pocket for lost wages/medical etc in the future. You get something like$325000 in your kitty towards it, so is better money wise to stay in the system until the money runs out if you haven’t recovered . I have given 2 stars, because I think there are not enough case workers to customers so you get lost in the system due to case workers having too many cases to deal with. I did get a response back from QBE to say they will look into it.

Deceitful Workers Compensation Company – Writing on behalf of my husband who was injured at work, sustaining injuries to his neck, shoulder, back, hip and knee. His work had sent him to a doctor at Ingleburn whom over looked all parts of the body that my husband had expressed on multiple occasions were in pain and only focused on the HIP because Thomas could not and still cannot walk… Read more

without a limp, telling him lets focus on this first because it seems to be the worst and then we will address the others later. Not knowing any better, my husband believed that his work place, the doctor and the insurance company were truly doing the best to help him recover, after deceitfully verbalising this to him.

After months going by and The doctor at Ingleburn continuously telling him all the other things going on is just referred pain as well as QBE Insurance putting him on to Pinnacle Rehab (who's only concern was going back to work when my husband could not even walk) We also had to chase up referrals, approvals and our own quotes for home assistance.

Thomas was never informed by work or insurance that he was allowed to seek his own medical doctor or that he had a choice of rehab providers. It was only until then we looked up "Dr Danny Tang" at Patrick St medical centre. The first appointment with Dr Tang he listened to everything about my husbands injury and did an extensive examination on all parts that were in pain over the course of 2 hours.

Dr Tang then had everything organised by the time we had reached the car walking out of the medical centre. Within a day, Thomas was contacted by everyone that Dr Tang had organised including scans seamlessly. In contrast to previously having to chase up everything in regards to scans, appointments and waiting weeks on end to get approvals and confirmed appointments took a weight off our shoulder as we weren't forced to do everyone else's job.

Once QBE received an email from Dr Danny Tang they immediately responded with an appointment for an IME (this was the fastest scheduling for a specialist that Dr Tang had ever seen) with the reasoning of "we need to get more information" This being only one appointment with Dr Tang, not allowing him approval for scans and enough adequate time to diagnose/investigate all injuries with supporting documents. Despite having my previous doctor not even be able to compose full sentences in my Certificate of Capacity which also is an invalid document and has been for 6 years noting that it would not hold up in court for legal purposes.

The time and care that Dr Tang along with his team is truly unbelievable. The stress it has taken off my husband and our home knowing that Dr Tang is now looking after him is remarkable, before Dr Tang we didn't realise we were in a battle that we were losing.

Two treasonous women who work for qbe misled the doctor – I used to work for the ambulance service of nsw, firstly I was a trainee paramedic, I actually injured myself during training but later I became a patient transport officer where I was the victim of racism by a neo nazi who tried to kill me with a patient transport vehicle and after that I suffered other injuries, in the end 5 people from the… Read more

department of health terminated my employment on medical grounds, that after I saved my lives. I started getting insurance money and things were going ok until those two treacherous women entered the scene. because of them I changed doctor, they said the doctor was not replying to their letters, emails, phone calls. I went to a doctor I trust. I called qbe and told the case manager about the change and that I was going to get all documents from the previous doctor and give it to the new one, she said and I quote: no, I will do it, I will email everything to him, I said great but trusting that hideous woman was a mistake. I went to see the doctor for a new certificate and I asked him if that woman had provided him with the previous certificate from the previous doctor, he said no. I called that woman and she was not there but the previous case manager took the call, she as before was rude and arrogant, saying it was up to to me to get those documents, I replied in kind and said, your partner said she was going to do it. I asked her to talk to the doctor so he would know exactly what to write on the certificate to avoid mistakes, big mistake on my part this hideous woman misled the doctor. the doctor sent the new certificate to qbe and the following day those two treacherous women called me to say they were cancelling everything because of the doctor's certificate, they could not care less that it was them who misled the doctor. it has been a few months and I have had no income since. disgusting is a soft word for them. never trust them, evil is inbuilt.

One star is too high – I lodged my claim in February 2019, QBE somehow “missed a step” in organising an independent medical review and it was only made in June 2019! irrelevant to my claim. I believe these were deliberately done to wear me down by upsetting me.

I paid $2000 for another independent medical report (even though the first one went in my favour there were inconsistencies that were errors that of course the insurer picked up on, I clarified these but they wouldn’t ask their IME to amend her report), the second one also went in my favour.

They still won’t accept liability although they’ve made me a pathetic offer.

Their conduct in the handling of my claim is disgusting and it only makes me determined to bring about change.

A royal commission is urgently needed into the process of Workers Compensation and the way insurers and their lawyers process claims. It’s unethical, cruel and totally contradicts the original purpose of Workers Compensation.

I am absolutely stunned that insurers and their lawyers are allowed to conduct themselves this way in Australia without regard as to how this affects the individual and that what they are doing is totally abhorrent.
