My elderly grandmother has been a member for multiple years with home owner issuance and as of today a gas major Gas leak has be spotted. A plumber was called immediately after and to our surprise my grandmother’s gas was turned off. No heat, no hot water or gas oven. The gas line is old and will need replacing. We used to use RACV Home Assist for our rental property located in Wonthaggi. However, 2 years ago when our tenants needed assistance for a leaking window, they were told that the Wonthaggi area was no longer covered. After a protracted investigation by ourselves, we found that this was the case even though we had renewed our Home Assist cover year after year and never been alerted to the change in geographical coverage. We since found another Home Assist scheme but we are now needing coverage again. The RACV website seems to indicate that you do cover Wonthaggi, and if this were really true, we'd take up the cover again. BUT we need reassurance that this is definitely the case. i.e. has the company policy reverted again? Very interested in your answer.

Concerning job no:H210770043, address Keysborough 3173 regarding bursted water pipe under house on the 18 March. Plumber [Name Removed] had a look and requested 2 people for the job. He did not even go under to inspect. RACV referred to Plumbing company to fix with exorbitant quote, RACV on my record twice last 2.3 years ago, same problem plumbers came, fixed problem straight away in 1 hour, when I made a complaint, the lady could not solve issue and said transferred to another person. After that she cut me off, and nobody called me. Very rude for customer service. I am not happy with EHAS from RACV and requested a refund cos I just paid on 28-2-2021. again 2days later I rang to RACV rep [Name Removed], very nice person, said she referred this issue to higher position person. Can I (as an RACV EHA member) request for a formal invoice to be issued to the me upon successful payment ? I wish to have a this document for tax purposes. Currently I am cutting and pasting the proof of my payment via the “Payment History” from the RACV member login website. I have spoken and place my request with the RACV EHA consultants at least 3 times who promised to send me the invoice which I have yet to receive. Please let me know if my request is legitimate. If it is not, I will just provide my tax agent with my on screen “cut and paste” document.

As far as I know, there are no claim forms. One simply 'phones the RACV and tells them what the problem is - and they send out a tradie within one hour. No forms - so straightforward! Les
Hi Corenlis, We do not have claims form available. You can lodge your claim online, you can logged into Racv.com.au and sign into your Membership portal, click 'Make a Claim' next to the relevant policy. Please note that your internet browser must have pop-ups enabled to get into the claim’s page.
If you are unable to proceed online, please call claims on 13 19 03 anytime 24/7. They are usually less busy after 6 pm every night and on weekends.

If they can get the work done in an hour you don't pay anything. It's all covered by the annual subscription. I haven't been in a situation where a plumber has needed to get in parts so I don't know the answer to that part of your question.
Hi Jen, Emergency Home Assist includes coverage for up to 8 emergency jobs per year and you won’t be charged extra for service call outs after hours, weekends or public holidays. We offer 24/7 plumbers, electrical emergencies and locksmiths in the even you lock yourself out.
Included in the service call out is up to 1 hour of labour and minor parts and materials.
Our qualified tradespeople are able to either fix the issue or provide temporary measures if more work is required to fix the issue. If more work is required, our experienced tradespeople will give you an obligation free quote for further works.

Have you received a quote from RACV Home assist, seeing it is a Sunday it may take a couple of days.When I had to have a hot water heater replaced I got a quote and dealt with the plumber who answered the call out.

Hi Rima. The Home assist will come and see what the problem is and assist you. They will tell you what needs to be done, if they cannot fix it. Your first pointy of call should be home assist if you have paid for it. RACV may or May not cover it, depending on what the problem is. Hope this helps Rohan W

You need to have annual subscription
To be eligible for RACV Emergency Home Assist (EHA), you must take out a subscription for your home. The current annual subscription for EHA is $215.00. If you have more than one home - e.g. a holiday house - and you want it covered by EHA in addition to the first home, you must take out an additional subscription for it.
The en-suite toilet has an awful smell and don’t know what it could be.
