Real insurance is for me when it comes to funeral insurance. As usual the fellow who I spoke with about a 2nd policy was very helpful, polite and Knowledgeable, sorry I forgot his name. I believe the whole of the world should see how much of a shark real insurance really is by there shonky deals by doing this to people who have done nothing wrong to you.
No all you do is try to de-escalate the situation and leave it at that you don’t solve the problem.

option where rate will increase each year . Benefit will rise 5% each year to tie in with increased premium up to 80 years old. Same premium 80 - 90 (Sounds ok when you are young) and working full time. Can opt out of increase in payout but premium keeps going up but your benefit doesnt. Commenced decades ago. Husband died 10 years ago. I can no longer on a full pension to keep paying this. I also now rent. After 85 can cancel policy and get 50% of insured value. Only way to pay no more monthly is to continually lower the benefit. They say please be aware over extended period you will pay more in premiums than benefit paid. On the 11/12/13 (husband died 31/12/13) premium was $41.81 for both of us. On the 11.3.14 Payment for me was $60.65, benefit $6,078 but I had to lower benefit to $5,200 to get premium down to $51.80. Why not less than $41.81 as my husband deceased 11/12/14 $42.46 me 12/3/14 Kindly offered not have to wait 12 months; even I was on with my husabnd for decades which was waived in lieu of 10% of the premium paid for one month . 11/3/18 $60.65 me To reduce payment Benefit down to $6,078 11/10/18 $60.65 me 11/2/20 $68.09. 2021 $66.94 sum insured lowered 11/3/23 $70.37. To reduce payment benefit reduced to $5,000 11/3/24 premium $70.73 for $5,000 premium will not increase after 80 until 90. If I live to 90 I pay 10 years after my premium does not go up but I will pay more than approx. $9000 to receive $5000 or less? If I cancel the cover I get nothing after paying thousands and thousands plus what we paid when my husband was alive. Excuse my wandering I have Huntington Disease. My info says after 85 50% of benefit - read in here that they say 75%.

HeatherB 8mo Have already had discussions with you to no avail. Stock reply(E-mails, phone etc) It looks to me like when my husband died I paid premiums that were wrong as there was only me insured. See in review, paying $41.81 for both of us, yet charging me $60.65 by 11/3/14. Now paying $70.37 for lousy $5000. You will only reply with stock answers of how you feel us etc. and sorry for you loss (10 years ago) (my husband also on 11/3/2020 policy says GJ and HJ Banks $75.08 (lowered). It looks to me like I might be paying for 2 people again. Husband died 2013. My sole income is Pension plus rent assistance - $1,218 fortnight and I pay $780.00 rent per f/n. I am forced to pay your insurance of $70 (dont give me that you are not forced to pay). My benefit is down to $5,000. Hate to think what I would be paying for your above benefit of $15,000. Apart from telling me to die soon you know is there is no benefit in passing on concerns apart from stop paying and losing the $5000. Been through all that with you. Dated 22 October, 2024. I am 80 years old and on a single old age pension and my rent has now gone up to $800 fortnight. I have spent a lot of time sick and in hospital (with Huntingtons I fall all the time) and have in September had a stroke as well. I am going to become homeless and paying $70.73 month to real for a policy I am losing many thousands of dollars. If you dont keep increasing the monthly payments your covered amount keeps dropping. I would like to still query why my payments went up after my husband died. Policy No 620157780 - 11/3/2024. (this is since my husband died). I included in my review the name of the policy, so would have thought you could have contacted me by phone after that , surely with todays technology that could happen. (So keep paying of lose the chance of $5,000 towards ny burial.)

Uneceptable – KEEP AWAY FROM REAL!!! My Grandmother passed away June 9th and we are still waiting for full amount. They made us go through hell and they've only sent a cheque for HALF the amount. UNREAL – I lost my mother on June 9 this year & my mother had a funeral cover plan with Real insurance for 10 years , never defaulted on a monthly payment & kept all policy paper work in order . mothers death certificate & birth certificate, then they requested my birth certificate which was provided , then they requested more documentation from our solicitors! After all that they finally agreed to send a cheque which arrived today sept 16 so imagine my shock when it was for $2693 with no explanation or ever any expressions of condolences. Please people be warned , the only good reviews for Real insurance are the people who haven’t needed to make a claim yet ! Our solicitors &the funeral director said they have had a lot of distressed unhappy angry customers . Save your money & sanity
