The best clippers ever – Bought these clippers in 2005 and travelled with them for over 10 years.very regular use on our travels, were still using them until today when we noticed an electrical fault and after a haircut just now the smoke came out the end so sadly we had to throw them away. They never ripped hair always cut perfect and were a pleasure to use. Where do i buy the same ???? Wytske Carr , Exmouth WA Clippers were bought from Harvey Norman in Greensborough Vic in 2005 and they were on special
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $29.

Good but not indesctructable – Bought these for perhaps $30 at Harris Scarfe in Adelaide a few years ago and they have performed quite well since, certainly a lot better than the vintage Wahl I’d been using before. The guides are made of plastic, like most things these days, and inevitably a couple of teeth broke on the smallest, though it was still usable. Once I trod on another guide though, the end was in sight. On opening it up to give it a clean the other day I found that part of the (once again) plastic piece that moves the blade back and forth had snapped off - so that’s it I suppose.
It was disappointing to find that you can’t get replacement guides anywhere, unless you know someone with a 3D printer. Not surprising I suppose that Remington, like most big companies, relies on things breaking and being thrown away. Eventually the world will be chock-a-block with cast off rubbish like this.
The nasty, degraded, sticky black rubbery part of the design is presumably also there to make you go out and buy a new one after a few years.
As a set of clippers, though, I have to say that, up until the end, it has worked as advertised. Cheap, effective, reliable motor Lack of parts, black rubbery parts are now extremely nasty and degraded
Terrible – This is the worst set of clippers I've ever owned. I bought them new, 'on sale', for $25 or $30 here in Australia. There was a huge table full of them. I quickly threw out my old clippers I got at a yard sale, but almost as quickly have regretted it, as these do the worst job cutting hair. I found them useless, and have had to resort to going to a barber. I am planning to see if I can use the "warranty" to return them. The carrying case Everything else... didn't work at all
I agree. Dreadful clippers - ripped the hair out. I tried them once, tried all the possible adjustments - still no good. Luckily, Harvey Norman gave me a refund without till reciept! (My old Breville clippers lasted over 10 years with regular use - nowadays there's more choice but most of it is junk).
Excellent – a really good trimmer for the whole family. Doesn't cost much, extremely affordable trims quite precisely, can get any shape you want, a great variety of trimming guides

I agree 100%. These clippers infuriated me so much with their terrible performance that they have inspired me to write my first review for Product Review.
