Nothing but a Headache – Since the RLC-823A was installed it has been nothing but trouble. The first problem was that the camera was installed under the TV antenna and it wiped out the reception in Band 3 (175 to 220 MHz). I then moved the camera to under my Starlink panel. There it would operate normally until it got cold at night and would then go into a rotate, pan up… Read more

and down, focus and then chime, wait a bit then repeat over and over. I tried camera resets, rebooting the NVR to no avail. Same problem, run for a few hours, lose video and go into a power up loop and chime over and over. I checked the cable with a fluke network cable tester from work, which tested okay. I purchased another RLC-823A and mounted it in the same spot. I just didn't work at all. I ran one of Reolink's 18.5 metre grey network cables to the new camera as a temporary measure and fault finding, and had the same result. I have since returned that camera hoping for a refund. I then put the original RLC-823A back under the Starlink panel but placed a 30W POE injector between the NVR and the RLC-823A thinking it was a power issue as there are 6 x RLC-811A on the same NVR but had exactly the same problem. I then removed the camera from my remote shack and bought it back home and temporarily connected it to my home NVR RLN8-410 and 4 x RLC-811A cameras with the same 30W POE in line and it ran for about 20 minutes before video was lost and the camera went into the same repeating power up loop. I then reset the RLC-823A camera, rebooted the NVR and just connected it straight to the NVR with one of Reolink's 18.5 metre grey network cables. It then ran for about 14 hours before it lost video and went into its annoying chiming loop in the middle of the night. Very annoying having to get up, get dressed and access my roof space to remove the camera.

I am now hoping to return this faulty camera for a full refund. I am $20.05 out of pocket from the last return, not to mention hours of fault finding, repeatedly climbing ladders, heaps of cable ties and sealing tape and out of patience with this product.
