Effective but trashy wand – Have pressure washed entire cement tiled roof of house, many exterior rough brick walls, some with lichen and black mould. This was entirely effective. Now using the water pressure only because the 'soap' dispensing control on the wand disintegrated after the second use but out of warranty.. apparently this model was sold by Bunnings at a time… Read more

when it was already discontinued and with no access to spare parts. Used within last year with a pressure extension pipe to clear a blocked sewer drain - worked well. However when I came to use it to clean my drive today, the automatic 'On demand' switch now does not work. The pump motor will not turn on so the whole unit is now basically junk.

a well rounded unit – Not a problem with it after hundred plus hours of use. Would recommend the brand to anyone. my garden hose does come off, so good quality fitting for the hose is recommended for moving the unit when under normal water pressure.

No support from Ryobi parts distributor or factory – I purchased my RBH130HS in late 2011. After using it 4 times it started to lose pressure. Not having a need to use it frequently it ran out of warranty. I took it to the local Ryobi service agent quite prepared to pay to have it fixed. They informed me that Ryobi did not have the required part available any longer. End result was that I returned… Read more

it to Bunnings and after some reluctance Bunnings offered me a full refund. Will I buy another Ryobi product? Not likely.

Parts not available from the manufacturer.

Generous 1 star – This would definately be the worst purchase I have ever made. I appreciate all manufacturers have a "lemon" now and then but after replacing the wand/lance twice within 2 months for leaks (and calling them leaks would be kind) I am bitterly dissappointed. Especially after spending a further few hunderd dollars on accessories for it. would nor… Read more

Hydro Scam – Bought the ryobi hydro surge 1800 to replace a small Karcher washer i had for previous 5 years. The only thing ryobi unit had over the much smaller Karcher was an 8 metre hose, which was a pain as it is a double hose. 1 for pressure and the other for soap/ rinse water. Claimed to draw from bucket, but only dribbled when it did eventually suck… Read more

water. Returned to bunnings after 6 months because it is leaking from back off handle. 8m long hose. Noisey pump that lacks power, doesn't draw water from bucket or tank,

HydroDribble – Since first day water leaked out from around handle of pressure gun, then over the next few weeks the pressure dropped off until it was barely squirting out of the, very disapointed. Had bought this unit to replace a gurni and a karcher that had also died after minimal usage but this one lasted even less time. Poor service and response from ryobi.

Given the unit has a 2 year replacement warranty, why didn't you take it straight back and receive a brand new unit??
