Replacement blades are very expensive – I am talking about the grass shears Not the hedge trimmer The blades break Which is not unexpected when you are using the shears on edges and around posts, fences and walls This is not so much the issue The blades are replaceable The issue is the cost of the replacement blades. Bunnings want $62 for a blade set The cost of the tool skin with the blade ( + caddy ) was $100 The cost of the replacement blades at $62 is outrageous Bunnings NZ sells them at $25 for a set of Grass Shear blades
I am pretty sure when I was buying the tool a couple of months ago the blades were available for $25 au Bunnings say that the grass shears blade set is are now $62 Which is outrageously high I am going to return the full kit and go with Ozito Their replacement cost is only $20

Ryobi for the win! – I have a lot of ryobi products and this one is my most recent purchase. I bought this to try and shape a bush into a hedge along my fence line because manually doing it with a hand tool was producing an uneven result for a lot of effort. These worked wonders! And the grass shears are fantastic for the bits of grass I have around my citrus trees which I usually hack with the whipper snipper. I would highly recommend these for small jobs. The battery lasts an age too, which really is a bonus.
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $109.
