8 years old and 4 babies have used this – My babies all started rolling by 4 months and I was scared of them getting stuck on their tummies head down. I used this as a side sleep positioner from a young age when my babies were congested and also simply to stop them from rolling from their backs. I found it also made them feel safe and secure without the need to wrap all the time. Washable, stopped baby from rolling Need option to purchase removable/ washable covers
EXcellent for side sleeping – Used this for all three of my sons. One colicy and two with sinus/ear problems, so sleeping on their side settled them so much easier. The snuggler allowed me to sleep them on their side without worrying they would roll on their tummy. It also provided comfort and that 'snuggly' feeling for them.
Excellent – My baby simply doesn't sleep without the snugglers. I tried taking them away one day and he had a very bad sleep so I continued using them. I would highly recommend this product to those trying to settle their babies on their back and are not able to, my baby only sleeps on his side and is very content.
This product helped save my sanity – I had an extremely seriously unwell refluxing baby who needed surgery by the end of her first year. I needed to sleep her on her left side from a very early age and this allowed me to do it safely. Babies with reflux sleep better on their left side (or when they're old enough to roll and be unwrapped) on their tummies because the oesophegus… Read more
joins the stomach at the back and the right. When you lie them on their backs, stomach content washes up and down all night.
This product was brilliant. I had three of them and my mother-in-law also kept one at her place. I kept one in the car and two for the house because she used to soil it regularly and I had to be able to switch one out while the other was washed.
Really good.
PS If anyone else is in this situation, I also found a lot of help at www.reflux.org.au Can sleep a refluxing bub on its left side easily. Also, easier to sleep a baby on someone else's bed at another house (if they're not rolling yet).
OK – I bought this product as my daughter did not like to be wrapped and I thought that it would keep her in place. We did not end up getting any use out of it. However I can see it would come in handy during the day if you needed to put your child down for a sleep on an adult bed. It would keep them safe from rolling off the edge. Could be good if… Read more
your baby had reflux and was happies sleeping on their side. None but only used it once or twice and found it to be unnecessary.
OK – We wouldn't have bought this product if it hadn't been a gift as our baby was not a wriggler. It also added an extra level of complexity for laying him back down in the cot - another thing to readjust that might wake him up. A wait and see purchase. It does the job of keeping the baby on his or her back. Our baby didn't actually need this product.… Read more
The family who gave this to us said that their kids slept great with the pillows, but our baby didn't seem to care.. we removed it after a few weeks with no discernible impact on his sleep.
Terrible – didn't use product after trying it once. thought it was useless as it had my daughter on a slant even after reading the instructions. sids don't like them as its a high risk. what a waste of money. found product useless and baby was on a slant
Excellent – I have used this for all three of my children to keep them from rolling on to their tummy when sleeping. I think it also gives them a secure feeling and it helped my children to sleep better. I sleep better knowing they could not move into a dangerous position when either they or myself were a sleep. Excellent for keeping babies sleeping on their back or side. Nothing at all
Terrible – We only used it about 2 times. Even though our baby was rolling and was premie he learnt how to sleep on his back by himself without this. I think these devices are a bit of a rip off- cashing in on parents fear of sids. The reason I didn't use it is because I took the advice of the sids research instead and I feel safer trusting them and… Read more
following their recommendations. It is good for newborns and especially premies. Our baby was a premie and this was good becaus he was so small he would roll with his legs up to his crest during his slept. Having said that it is good for newborns and premies, it's not recommended by health professionals or by sids. We were told by health professionals not to use it as it's better for the baby to learn to sleep unaided and it can get them into bad habits.
Bad – it's an okay product if you really do need it for some reason however we found it to be a waste of money for us. i would recomend you wait until after your baby is born and home a few nights. easy to follow instructions, keeps child in place we got this before our baby was born as all our friends recomend it to us, however we found it useless… Read more
didn't need it, our baby liked to be wrapped and happily stays on his back so even though we have tested this there is no reason that every baby needs this, prehaps wait and see if yours is a wriggler.
Good – This product is great. I didn't have it with my 1st child and wish I did - I ended up using the ends of regular pillows to keep him from jerking awake which wasn't always as snug as I'd hoped. My mum made me these in a slightly longer size (I had a bigger, longer baby) and extra covers as it does get wet from nappy leaks occasionally in the… Read more
middle of the night. I couldn't find covers for these, so that's a bit of a disadvantage, unless you purchase several, which work out a little pricey. But overall, it's a fantastic product. Keeps baby snug and less prone to jerking, and it's adjustable. Spare covers aren't available? Should have slightly longer sized pillows for larger babies.
Excellent – I bought this when my baby was three weeks old as he wouldn't sleep on his back, and I mean absolutely would not. As soon as I put him on his back weather he was a wake or asleep he would get upset. I discovered that he was much calmer on his side but worried about him rolling onto his tummy so I got the snuggler. It does exactly what it is… Read more
supposed to. When by baby got to about 7 weeks old he came to terms with sleeping on his back but still liked the snuggler as it provides a secure and snug feeling in bed. This is a great way of ensuring you little one stays on their back or side. t has a removable cotton cover so is easy to wash. If I get my bub to sleep on his side in the snuggle I can't soll him onto his back h=without adjusting the velcro.
