the epitome of skillet – I love my cooking saucepans and any cooking utensils that I really like. I heard little of Saladmasters. the couple who owns Saladmaters business done a demo at home. I have one of the oil skillet. I would say it is a good one to use. I actually bought the professional set from Saladmasters. they are pricey but they are worth it. the decision that… Read more

made me buy the product is the taste test . I could not believe the difference between and even Teflon did not pass the test. it is an investment if you like cooking and if you are a good cook it makes your food even tastier. salad master is made of titanium.

Unimpressed – Owned salad master for a while now and totally underwhelmed. Unimaginably overpriced for what it is and we find ourselves using other much cheaper cook wear for just as good results. Don't get sucked in to buying this product.

Saladmaster cookware - a hands-on experience – We were invited to a free meal by an agent who is selling Saladmaster cookware. Basically, the agent gave us a wonderful meal cooked in front of us on the Saladmaster cookware set. And then one of our friends bought a basic set and paid over $3500 for it with the expectation to receive a lot of free gifts from Saladmaster by introducing friends… Read more

who may buy the cookware.

Then we managed to borrow the cookware set from our friend to try and see for ourselves how "wonderful" and "magical" this extremely pricey set of cookware really is. It certainly looks great.

Here are a few points I think will give readers an idea of whether this expensive product is worth the money.

1/ The agent was certainly trained to suggest to us that all cookware products out there are poisoning our bodies because we "eat" the pots and pans without knowing. She poured a bit of baking soda into water and heated it up using a variety of pots and the Saladmaster pot. Then she invited us to taste the water to find that all pots produce a bitter taste. The only one that does not produce the bitter taste was naturally Saladmaster's. We were then told that as we cooked, the pots were dissolved into our food. Metals and nonstick coatings ... entered our food and could cause cancer. So, Saladmaster's cookware will save us all.

2/ The agent claimed that the surface of the cookware is titanium steel and is tough, smooth and naturally non-stick if we just apply a tiny bit of oil before cooking. She did a wonderful cooking job and there was no issue at all.

Then we borrowed the set our friend bought to try.

1/ We used an electric oven with a glass cooktop. The heat transfer was just horrible. It is by far the worst of all pots we had tried. Basically, as I expected, the shiny bottom reflects heat rays away from the pot. All our dirty and cheap pots with blackened bottom due to burns, carbon soot, ... transferred heat far better. It would work well with a gas stove though. I am sure if the bottom is painted with heat resistant black paint (available at Bunnings), the heat transfer will be so much better on electric stoves.

2/ The baking soda test looked so suspicious. I googled and check on baking soda and learned that it is a mild cleaning agent. It is also a base and tends to cause a bitter taste when used in baking. People have to neutralise the base by adding lemon (acid). We did the baking soda test and it's true that other pots caused a bitter taste. But after testing on other pots a couple of times, the bitter taste disappeared. My conclusion is that other old pots have food residues on their surfaces. Baking soda naturally reacts with the food residues and create that bitter taste. Once the residues were cleaned away, the bitter taste disappeared. So, thank God! We have not been eating our pots for the last 30+ years.

3/ The non-stick claim. It's false. My friend burned foods twice on the pot causing a brownish colour at the bottom. She tried to scrape off the burnt food and caused scratches on the surface. It does not look tougher than any other steel pots out there. The trace of carbon on the surface seemed permanent as cleaning could not get that brownish tint out of the steel.

My conclusion is that the agent was a skilled cook who did it so well that everything was perfect. Others could not get the Saladmaster pots and pans to work as well. I think the marketing ploy claiming that other pots and pans out there are poisoning people is surely clever! It does not work on a scientific-minded person like me. The claim of a non-stick surface without coating is bogus! Food stuck like crazy on the steel surface if you don't get the heat right.

Otherwise, the product looks great with a shiny look, nice designs and the "Made in the USA" letters edged into the steel look very nice. Our problem is just about the price as we do not believe the hype to start with.

This product converted a complete and utter skeptic – Edit: Long Term view... 7 years after we purchased this in 2017 they are still going strong. We haven't purchased any other cookware in that time. Yes it's expensive... but money well spent! Recommended for sure. Below is my original review from 6 years ago... ___ To begin with, let me say I am super skeptical about anything that needs a home… Read more

demonstration to sell. Ridiculously high pricing is also a pet peeve, particularly because of my line of work.

My wife attended a demo and fell in love with the product. she convinced me to host a demo at our home, and I agreed because I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.

My first impressions were: - the set of product we looked at looked great and felt like good quality - the product is not dissimilar to a lot of other waterless cooking systems out there - it is ridiculously expensive for a set of pots and pans - it is certainly easier to clean than my other cookware - did not retain odours from previous cooking like non stick cookware - did no have any artificial coatings that could come off into the food i was cooking. - did I mention REALLY EXPENSIVE?

While I liked the product, I really disliked how much the set was going to cost me- but it was bonus time and with a little coaxing from my wife, we agreed to purchase our first set.

Yes I had buyers remorse for a few days given the $, but after a few uses you really get to appreciate the finer things about this cookware.

Disadvantages: None- unless you view the high price a disadvantage.Yes it's expensive but after a year of use, I am more than happy with my purchase. In fact I am considering buying some more dishes.

Advantages: 1. It is VERY easy to clean 2. Heats up very quickly and retains heat well 3. Food tastes very different to the point where you will begin to notice the chemical flavour when you are eating from non stick cookware. 4, Looks great 5. You can put the entire dish into the oven or even your barbeue once you have easily detached the plastic handles 6. The quality is very high and these sets will easily last you 15+ years. 7. Total cost of ownership over a 5 - 10 year period is lower than buying regular department store cookware 3-4 times over that period (Think of it like buying a Miele washing machine vs. a Samsung).

The chemical odour from the non stick became more apparent over time. In time we used the new Saladmaster more and we stopped using non stick altogether.

After 2 months of using our Saladmaster dishes - we gave away/ disposed of ALL of our non stick as we saw no reason to keep them. 12 months in I really like the product and would happily buy it again if they got stolen. The high price upfront is outweighed by the advantages i mentioned earlier and the fact you will not be replacing your cookware every 2 - 3 years.food tastes better, and we do no use any other cookware anymore.

I hate to say it, but I am a converted skeptic. Great product despite the high price. I would definitely buy it again.

Food sticks and burns! Total fail! – On demonstration of the product, it was really good and you will be convinced to buy it! But Saladmaster is just a way overpriced product! I regret buying it and regret throwing out my nonstick pans! Nonstick pans are way easier to clean and food doesnt get stuck therefore doesn't burn. I wish i didnt buy the saladmaster set. Total waste of money

Just a fancy frypan – I bought the sladmaster starter set, with the 12' oil core skillet it looks fancy but that's it, cooks no different to anything else, infact I find it more difficult to use, than any other traditional frypan. Says use no oil, but food always sticks. And is way overpriced. Plenty of other good cheaper alternatives available.

Best Cookware I Have Ever Used – I bought the Saladmaster personal set, the OCS and MP5. They can only be bought through their party plan and they are very expensive. We went along to our first Saladmaster presentation with the intention of not buying as we had recently replaced our pots & pans with stonedine and I was very happy with them but when it came to the taste test we… Read more

just looked at each other and knew we were buying!

Learning to cook again with Saladmaster was initially frustrating because it’s so different. Having the cooking school was the best thing for us, we learned so much and had many success from there. It was really interesting that at the 1st lesson we were madly taking notes but a month later at our 2nd lesson we were thinking “yes know that and that.”

Cooking with Saladmaster is easy once you get used to them.

As life is not always perfect neither is my cooking. One day I got distracted doing something else. It was the smell of burning at the other end of the house that attracted us. It was bad, so bad we thought I had ruined the pot for sure. I was sure I was up for a new pot. The whole lower inside half of the pot was charcoal.

First I panicked then I added hot water, brought it to the boil and left it to soak approx. 10 minutes. I then scrubbed it, first with the brush then with a pad and it all came off easily. To finish I used a little of the powder and my pot looks brand new again. Amazing! And what is even more amazing the potatoes were still edible, had a bit of smokey bbq flavour to them which was fine as we were having a bbq. So once again I proved that even if you do burn food the burnt smell/taste does not permeate through the whole meal. Have I mentioned I love my Saladmaster pots!
