perfect for movies purchased overseas – I was looking for a blue ray player which can play DVDs from of all countries "Multi Code" and I found it :-) I had to research in the internet to set it up as "multi code". Once found, the set up was very easy. It is a simple blue ray and can not play movies in 3D. 4 stars (changed automatically to 5 stars) Multi Code
Pretty good – Bought this to replace old and broken dvd player. Very cheap. Coupled with my samsung tv and hdmi cable. This combo produces awesome sound and picture. Very slow to load however and if you adjust settings within the Blu Ray Player, Bluray movies wont play. Great buy, easy to use and setup Great price, slimline, easy to use and setup I dont know if all bluray players are the same but it's very slow to load
Cheap Blu-ray player – This is a basic cheap player that has a few nice features. These include Allshare feature that allows you to connect to your computer and other DLNA devices to play multimedia on your TV. It will also plays a variety of video and audio formats such as DivX, MKV, WMV, AVCHD, JPEG, MP3 etc etc. Another nice feature is Anynet+, this can automatically control other Samsung audio-video (AV) devices e.g. put a disc into the BD5100 it automatically turns on the TV and changes to the appropriate input - the Samsung TV remote also works the Bluray player, so only need one remote. Many useful features for the price A little slow on start. Allshare software (downloaded free from Samsung website) works but not the best piece of software ever written.
