Don’t waste your money time or energy on this smart lock – Installation was easy and we bought it for our Airbnb’s since Samsung has such a great reputation with technology - big mistake. We had two of them, one we had to return after installation the door lock didn’t close properly so exchanged for a new one at Bunnings. Second one, the batteries (brand new) drained within 4 days thought perhaps the batteries that came in the box were dodgy, changed it to expensive Energizer long lasting ones. 5 days later the keypad died and locked our guests out. Not to mention that the keypad would sometimes work and other times didn’t so had to give guests the tag which is NO DIFFERENT TO USING A KEY. Tech support were terrible called twice over 3 days no callback. No after hours support. If you’re on the market for a smart lock DO NOT BUY THIS! A smart lock from Temu is better (we have installed one at home and it’s amazing!) we thought we’d splash out for the Samsung name but it’s just been a nightmare to the point I had to write this review to warn others not to waste their money, time and energy on this abysmal product.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $250.

Save your money – Was quicker to use the fob by the time bluetooth registered. Several attempts required when putting in the code to open the door and it failed 12 months after the electrical warranty. Was never exposed to water as it was installed indoors. Contacted warranty and it couldn’t be fixed, obviously replaced with a Eufy. Update… the Eufy works brilliantly, absolutely no comparison.

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $235.

Thanks Brian, I sent every detail to Samsung, after several emails including pics and video the reply was its an electrical fault. Why would anyone buy one, poor performance and poor quality. Replaced it with a Eufy unit from JB Hifi and it’s brilliant

Don't buy. Gimmick, cheap and nasty – I've always used digital door locks. I haven't carried a key in decades. My son saw this at Bunnings and was taken by the fancy lights and melodies. So I bought it. Installation was easy. I merely replaced my existing manual lock. The reason I decided to buy it was because it had access via key fobs and mobile phone/Bluetooth. It seemed like a good deal.

Despite following the instructions to register the fobs, they will not open the door. I read English. I correctly read and interpreted the words. In fact, the fobs did register. But it won't open the bloody door. Next, the sHome Doorlock app. It doesn't work. It has 1.5 out of 5 stars on Google Play. It just crashes. Other reviewers say the same things. Also, why does this app need control over my location and phone calls? As one angry customer stated: "I expect more from Samsung". And so do I.

Why does this company destroy their own reputation by using a worthless 3rd party app that doesn't work? Why provide key fobs that don't work? Finally, the device apparently has more features then the vague manual suggests. Why not provide a PROPER MANUAL. Like I said: cheap 'n' nasty.

I decided to keep the door lock because at least the PIN works. It was an omen when the Bunnings salesperson urged me to keep the receipt in case something didn't work. She was short of telling me not to buy this.

I'm now done with Samsung products. My wife bought a tv that kept on crashing. According to a tech-review, Samsung had used too little memory. So they offloaded this series in Australia. My last Samsung phone just died - no warning and the battery on this one is failing after only 12 months. When you add this poorly developed door lock. No thanks.
