Samsung DTB-H550F

Box stopped working, can not watch the Australian Open nor any other programs – |The Box stopped working suddenly. Can turn the TV on but there is no picture. There is no light on the box. It is dead completely and useless for my purposes. Shall not be buying this brand again. Now I have to spend money to purchase another product hopefully a quality one which works. It is very disappointing that there is no quality and no assistance provided. Silvana

Bad – Good little box but obviously has a common problem. I wish someone could find the solution. Probably would be a good idea to give Samsung a call. Got it 2 years ago. Worked great for that time, very happy with quality and functionality. Stopped working, no power. A friend has the same one and he had the same issue. Checked fuse and power cable and everything is alright. By chance I lean on it and it turned itself on. It lasted for a day or so. Obviously there is a some power cut somwhere. I've read a few reviewers having the same problem.

Terrible – My Samsung STB (DTB-H550F) worked for six months, then had a major malfunction -- all the lights on the front panel started blinking (not nearly as nice as a Christmas tree) and there was no way to power it off without unplugging it. Word of mouth indicates this is not an uncommon problem -- also have a look at the DTV Forum comments about this product. Samsung has removed the support page for this model from its Web site. I guess it is caveat emptor! I have yet to find the receipt and take it back to the store, but I'm not hopeful of getting it fixed, and I probably wouldn't want another one anyway. It was cheap in a factory seconds outlet store. Difficult to use many features, lasted all of six months.

Terrible – It has lots of features, most which I will never use as the user guide is very poorly written. After hours of searching cannot find a way to reorder the TV channels. Channel 10 is on channel 5, 7 on 6 and so on. Very annoying! provides infomation on what show is currently being screened. Good picture quality. can not re-order channels.
