Its great! – Very sleek and stylish looking, although very slippery so cover is must. I ve been using this for 3 years and had no issue. Very fast, screen resolution is also very good. Use it everyday – I use this tablet a lot, almost every day. I use it when I wake up, throughout the day, and even before I sleep. I find it so handy as it is pretty much a computer, but just smaller and it can fit in my hands and I can carry it anywhere and everywhere with me.  Show details

Cumbersome – Cons 1. Dual core CPU in this tablet is super slow 2. Camera is poor quality 3. No flashlight. 4. Charge cord is on the bottom. So when you want to have it sitting on the desk playing some music and on charge it has to be upside down. Ridiculous for when you use skype because the camera is on the bottom if you have to turn the tablet upside down to have on charge whilst you skype. Pros Speakers are good for a device. There Are Better Tablets Out There – I am disappointed in this tablet nothing but problems from freezing to tablet turning off unexpected and having trouble turning it back on and will not charge. Has terrible battery life. On the plus side it's great for watching videos and searching the internet. I have few other Samsung products I never had problems with they work great. After using this tablet, I will never buy a Samsung tablet again.

Functional and Reliable – Performance is fine. Meeting my needs. Tablet charge last for a long time. Also can connect USB through adaptor to Tablet. That makes a bit difference and helps with data and information transfers. Tablet feels solid and has handled knocks and drops. All up glad with Samsung Tab. Would buy other Samsung products.

what a piece of junk – The device constantly shuts down for no reason in the middle of an activity. Searching for a cause indicate a possible problem with the battery connection. I tried the various fixes suggested but that made no difference. I set the unit back to factory default and put the device away for a few months. Now after trying it again - same problem. DONT BUY ONE

won't charge when the battery is too low! Unlike other devices where you are supposed to drain them every so often this one just dies entirely. Judging from other forums (now I have researched further) this is not an uncommon problem. Samsung haven't been helpful at all with the issue.

Prior to these issues I found the keypad would not always recognise when it was touched and it would lock me out. What a waste of money!! A very disappointing product. When it worked it was a good product, easy to use. Battery life is poor, it won't charge when the battery is run down, won't recognise touch on keyboard/screen

Warrenty not honored outside of where you bought it – Our tab 4 worked for only a few days before we had a problem with it. We were told in Hong Kong where we purchased it, the warrenty was worldwide. The problem occured in Australia when we got home, only minor, but they would not help as it was purchased overseas. travel, I feel it is appauling that they do not honor the warrenty worldwide. For a travel tablet, computer or phone, choose a brand where if you have a problem, the warrenty covers you worldwide, not samsung!

No warrenty once you have left where you bought it, unsuitable for travelling overseas.

than another ipad. I like the simple startup and ease of use rather than starting a laptop or a desktop computer. The conectivity ports are better than the ipads you can connect usb or add more memory than the ipad. the ipad you would have to but the better model. the battery life dose not last as long as the ipad maybe we use this more than the ipad.

Once again Samsung out do themselves – POINT 1) New Samsung Adapter 11-pin on this unit is backward compatible. The ability to control my Smart Tv using the tablet or my phone makes this unit versatile and ive just learnt how to print directly off my tablet or smartphone from where ever I may be, home or abroad. I READ ANOTHER POST stating they cant connect to their smart TV, Well that's not the tablets fault, u just need to use the ALLSHARE app which is default on all Sammy products. All SAMMY tv s after 2012 are Allshare compatable (smart Tvs) If you are like me and like to have total control over your tablet unlike Ipads then these Samsung units are the way to go.

Galaxy Tab versions are just below the Galaxy Note models in features and screen quality, but anyone that's ever owned a Sammy will find that even their average models pack a punch and are far more extensive than other brands. As a Apple convert, I don't miss Apples restrictive and expencive eco-system especially app purchase costs which I find free downloads on google play. Rooting this device has allowed me to install windows Operating system as well, so at boot up I can choose android or windows, depending on what I fell like using on the day. Oh, the 64 Gig micro Sd card is $30 bucks, but even thou the tablet states that's max size, I am able to throw in a 128 gig card with out issue, they are $80.

My initial reason to swap to Samsung from Ipad was due to compatibility. I can blue-tooth, or wifi connect, send picks, or work documents to any other tablet or phone, be it windows, or android, and to any other manufacturer without issue, unlike ipad which Apple still design to be a bloody compatibility drone so to fill their own pockets, well we have woken up to that. Simple, crisp, light, good battery life, compatible with everything, and NEW connector is backward compatible with micro USB. 3mp cam aint great, but never use it anyway.

some compatibility issues – WARNING! This device will not be compatible with your samsung smart tv. According to samsung customer support the version of andriod is too new and they haven't updated their all share program yet. They also have no idea when/if the software will be compatible. However if this does not bother you the device is great, better than an I pad great resolution, overall good device cannot watch the movies I download from google play on my smart tv

Great Tablet – I purchased the Samsung Galaxy 3 10.1" as a Christmas gift for my Mother, I have to say I wish it was mine. when the time comes to replace my iPad, I'm a convert. Screen resolution, responce time, menu is easy to follow. No instruction manual, this would be handy for those who have never used a tablet before.
