Good TV. Works well so far – We purchased this smart TV from Harvey norman two years ago. The TV is working well so far. Our main concern was with youtube, foxtel and netflix app and it seems to be working. The only issue is with typing of characters. I think navigation can be improved in samsung. Unit's built in speakers are ok for the price.  Show details

Good picture quality – I bought this 22inch TV a few months ago for the dinning room because it was the only size that fitted the corner recess. The is full HD and the picture quality is very good viewed at the dinner table about 2 metres away. The colour contrast is excellent. The horizontal viewing angles are reasonable but he vertical viewing angles are not as… Read more

good when mounted above eye level.

The TV reception is marginal with rabbit's ear antenna for our location. I have to tweak the anntenae now and again to get a good picture. If you have bad reception in your area I suggest you connect an external antenae.

The speakers sound tinny compared to the larger TVs around the house. There are no audio outputs that can be connected to external speakers. You could possibly connect the earphone jack to an amplifier to get a better sound or alternatively connect the HDMI port to a HDMI compatible amplifier.

The USB port only supports play mode and you cannot record programs from the TV. The port supports USB memory sticks and portable hard disk drives .

The other disappointing feature is the slow response time for the electronic program guide. It takes up to a minute to load sometimes. Good picture quality Sounds tinny and Slow electronic programme guide

A Great Computer Display (That's Also A Top TV) – No... This featherweight TV does NOT work well for games (or any fast-motion material) that are merely plugged in to its baseband video or component inputs... ...BUT... ...provided we connect to its HDMI inputs via a latest generation cable... ...we've suddenly got ourselves a top-quality, anti-glare, high resolution and… Read more

colour-accurate high-definition display with full "plug and play" operation via a single cable into either of its individually selectable HDMI ports.

All of which seem to have been custom-made for "dummies" like me.

Oh, ...and it's between a half and a fifth the price of similarly-sized dedicated displays, with a top-quality HD TV that's been "thrown in for free" !

And yes...

Samsung's little plastic "plinth" stand is a bit "cheap and nasty", but it does work, ...and that "nastiness" is simply not evident when it's actually mounted and in use.

However, here's what I reckon to be the real "killer knockout punch"...

Toss that little stand away ...and its 75 x 75 VESA mounting holes allow easy and secure attachment for "floating" this fine featherweight above workstations via a variety of suspension systems.

Not only that, but the huge variety of VESA wall and stand mounts that are available also make it a "natural" for caravan, kitchen and/or bedroom applications.

Alternatively, for "Road Warriors" like me, it's small and light enough to travel perfectly in a lightweight road case...

...breaking neither the back, nor the bank.

Hence my "unequivocally recommended" five star rating. Its rear "joystick" button very quickly becomes intuitive, allowing full operation without the supplied remote control, with the "plain English" on-screen manual making short work of even the most detailed calibration and/or configuration. The "factory default" settings (particularly for brightness, viewing angle and colour) are unlikely to satisfy most if left as they come "just out of the box", but are very easily rectified.
