Should have known better – Bought a VP-D361i from a used camera store - looked great, in original condition - 3 months warranty. Tried it same day and it worked. Medical problem then meant I couldn't use it for (yes, you guessed it) 3 months and 6 days - sorry, out of warranty when it would no longer even switch on or charge a battery. No more Samsungs for me after my experience and reading other reviews of the same camera. If I could get my old reliable JVC repaired, I would happily keep that. I need a camera that plays mini tapes, as I have many which have not yet been edited. Liked its look - but didn't get to use it at all after the first day! It died - nothing moved, would not charge the battery, no life whatsoever.

Terrible – The camera had never been dropped or roughly treated. Will never buy another mini tape camcorder and am inclined to steer away from hard drive ones as well. I believe the less moving parts the better. would have to be off my head to get it repaired at the above cost it was a present.small size failed when out of warranty after very little use. about 2 hours total recording time. took it to the local agents and had to pay $77 up front and eventually got a quote of $227.52 to fix it. total repair cost of $304.62.

Terrible – This is a consumer product but it is far from durable and after sales service is atrocious. My next camera will be from Panasonic or Sony. In my experience Samsung products are not worth spending any money on. Was a gift Lousy images, my mobile phone takes better video images. Broke down (distorted images with horizontal lines and tape compartment wont open) before the warranty expired but couldn't get Samsung to reply to my requests for repair or even tell me where I could get it fixed.
