Thank you for your reply but it did not answer the question. Can you tell me why it was discontinued. Can you still get replacement parts? No point buying one second hand if it cannot be repaired later on

In general, discontinuation of a specific model is dependent on factors such as: - Updating the compliance to meet industry standards - Continuation line of models usually are around 2 years However, new models such as those provided in the link above are similar to more recent models.

Are you over filling the machine with clothes when trying to dry? There is a “max fill” line for drying inside of the door. I find that if I use the “time dry” function I can only dry smaller loads. But if I’m running a wash along with a dry cycle it will easily dry all of our clothes. I have slightly exceeded the max line for drying occasionally, but as long as there are no big bulky items such as jeans/large jumpers etc we still have dry clothes. Average full cycle displays 7-8 hours initially but does recalculate to a shorter time. Alternatively I use “Quick Wash” along with drying which is much quicker. There is no air flue like with a normal dryer. I think it’s called a condenser dryer? Heat pump? (Unsure of technical name!) I believe it dries differently. None of our clothes have shrunk and they come out very soft.

As for lint build up, occasionally I wipe away the build up when it gathers. It doesn’t really bother us as it’s usually washed away with the next wash though. A micro fibre cloth is all I use.

I have absolutely no idea about the release valve as I haven’t had to use that. I believe that was in the manual though. Sorry I can’t help with that one.

The machine has a weight sensor. So it weighs your load and adjusts the amount of water, detergant and time according to your load. 1/2 kilo isnt alot of clothes, so im guessing its correct cause as it states that you can wash 2 kilos in 15 minutes on quick wash.

You just need to set a wash cycle as per usual and dont press the dryer button. It will not use dryer unless you manually set it to dry. But if you use the wash and wear setting it will dry.

No it's not noisy, however the spin cycle is quite loud. Not sure if it's just ours, but it does leave the clothes with a strong rubber like smell. So if you do have/purchase this machine, I'd be interested to know if your does the same?

Sorry I havent purchased it yet. Reading some of the reviews here im not sure if I should buy it or just get a separate dryer as im quite happy with my current samsung washing machine

Ours leaves the same rubber smell. Infact all our front loader washer/dryers haves. It makes sense though. Drum heats up, seals heat up..and bam...your clothes are left smelling like crap. Design flaw i think.

Seems to do the same to my light clothes too, I've been getting big dark oily marks too!

If you're washing a large load then 10 hours is pretty typical, however on average mine will calculate around 7.5-9.5 hours and when it actually goes to dry it will recalculate again and is usually a lot less. If your machine is always taking 10 hours to wash and dry I suggest to use the 'quick wash' function and select the time dry function for 1-2 hours (instead of normal, delicates or extra dry) depending on how much clothing is in the machine, I sometimes do this and will only take 3-3.5 hours to wash and dry. You can just use it as a regular washing machine, if you would also like it to dry you just select a drying level. That's it :)
