Unreliable and Very Unpredictable. Frustrating – SSDs are supposed to be reliable and most of the ones I've used are. This technology has been around long enough now for the bugs to be resolved. But Sandisk's 2TB Extreme Portable SSD is very slow and frequently isn't recognised on any device. I've changed the cable but this isn't the problem. It even links up then drops out, then links in again etc all while nothing else is happening. All other drives work fine and the drivers for the USB ports are up to date. Anti-virus isn't logging it as an issue. Sandisk is actually made by Western Digital - and I should have looked this warning sign up before purchasing. Silly me!
