Impressive and reliable budget TV – I've had this TV for 5 years and it's been great. Good picture, handles everything well including motion, brightness and colour. Gaming is good with this TV aswell as movie/TV shows etc. The speakers sound fine too but lack bass obviously. The built in tv guide isnt as good as I would like but works, if not a bit slow to recognise commands from the remote. I highly recommend this TV if you can find it still. Show details
Fantastic Full HD picture quality and excellent media player for a budget priced TV – Fully agree with Sean38 on this TV. It has a great picture in both colour and clarity however with one reservation...Just as with almost every budget priced TV, you must sit directly in front of the TV to see the best picture. The colour loses a bit of contrast (dark colours become grey) when viewing at 30 degrees off centre but unlike the cheaper… Read more
TVs, doesn't get much worst. Sound is reasonable even though it lacks some bass. Again not unusual for budget TVs. If you plug a set of media speakers into the headphone socket whilst watching your favorite movies this shortcoming is easily resolved. Alternatively there is a digital sound output but no traditional stereo RCA output connection. As a USB media player it is excellent! Plays all the popular video formats including AVI, MP4 and MKV, although no recording capabilities. Unfortunately the power circuit died after just 18months but was easily sourced and cost $160 to fix. But well worth it for this TV. Even the TV repairman complimented the picture quality and said it was worth fixing. Excellent FHD picture, acceptable sound quality but lacks bass, versiltile built-in media player, 3 HDMI connections No recording capabilities, No stereo RCA sound output, mediocre (180w) energy consumption, Power circuit failed after just 18 months
Better than perfect – Had to buy a new tv when our 4 month old lcd hdtv died. We needed a good one with a great price. Saw the Sanyo & didn't have to look any further. They always say that the tv looks better in the shop... not.It looks brilliant in this case. It looks brilliant. Better than the Vivo it replaced. This was a blessing I'd say. Well worth the price. Quality, price
Beautiful clear picture! – I purchased this on sale at xmas and I am very impressed with it. It is so easy to connect especially when I am not technically minded! It auto tunes for you very quickly and has a clear manual to help you connect dvd players, foxtel and xbox. The only downside it has is that it has a few second delay in channel change and when you initially turn… Read more
it on.
For the price it is an absolute bargain and I would purchase this brand again.
They have an excellent technical support telephone that is from monday to friday 9am to 5pm located in Tasmania which are very helpful and makes it so much easier with adding connections. Cheap and easy to set up
Excellent Budget TV at a great price – i got the LCD40XR11F and its a fantastic screen for the price. Sanyo have made some pretty decent budget tv's over the years and this is one of their best ive seen. Its not the LED model but apart from a bit of CCFL backlight bleed and a black level that could be better this TV is fantastic. Power efficent for such a big CCFL backlit screen… Read more · 3
(not that much more to run than LED), Gorgeous 1080p 60hz Resolution, Fantastic picture (easily looks better than most entry level bands and even some of the better models), Great connectivity (3xHDMI and heaps of other AV/USB connections) Great as a PC monitor (very clean clear picture no trouble with text at all), Good Response time (8ms, could be better but for such a big screen at such a low price i cant complain, there is some motion blur on some content but its largely unoticeable) Build Quality and Design is also excellent its a very strong unit Speakers (but if you have a decent hifi stereo or surround you'll never used them and the'll get you by in a pinch)
Keeps turning off – Love the actual picture on the screen as it is really crisp and there are lots of good features.....HOWEVER THE TV KEEPS TUNRING ITSELF OFF EVERY 5 MINUTES (I bought it yesterday and it has done it since I turned it on) One would hope and expect given the substantial outlay in purchasing one of these TVs Sanyo could at least be bothered to do a… Read more
final Quality Control check before sending it out to its distributors to check this sort of thing. Now I need to lug this 46" screen into the back of my car and go back to Dick Smith to arrange for this to be changed, accept a new one, stuff it into the back of my car and up the stairs again into my apartment - extremely inconvenient when you have spent over $650 in the first place. In fact if Dick Smiths let me have another manufacturer's model I will go for that and never go far Sanyo again, really peeved about this
Keeps turning itself off
