Sanyo XR10F Series

Was great but now very disappointed – I have had this TV for approximately 3 years and had worked fine until two weeks ago when it suddenly lost TV signal. I have gone to purchase new cables and replaced them, but yet no signal. I have seen that this issue is common with Sanyo Samsung tvs. Really disappointed. This TV is in the room and does not get used a lot. Any idea what could be the problems? Is Sanyo doing anything about the issue?
Fantastic – Works like a dream still 3 years after buying it & watching it for hours & hours daily. Great price at the time as well. Got it to replace another Dick Smith TV that broke within a week of buying it so we chose a different brand. So glad we did. Remote is still just as good as the day we got it as well. Reliable. Great sound, good looking.
Great tv – Brought this tv about 5-6 years ago and it has never skipped a beat, it was a cheap model so I was not expecting it to be much of a tv but it has surprised me and now that I'm looking for a bigger tv I am looking at the same type just a bigger screen, it is very simple to use and if your not into anything fancy it's worth a look :) Easy to use, reliable, inexpensive
Better than expected, bargain – Bought a LCD32XR10F for a year. Good quality picture, and sound. No trouble , good value for money. I will recommend to my friends too. The picture is pretty sharp and the color is fine. It is not as good as Sony but consider the price tag, I'm quite happy to using it as long as it is reliable and reasonable quality and can do the job as it say. Inexpensive, reliable, good picture Energy rating only 3 stars.
Good value 46 inch 1080p LCD TV – This Sanyo 46 Inch LCD offers very good bang for buck, especially if you're entering the flat screen LCD/Plasma market for the 1st time. We moved house where I had a DLP LCD projector to a house where the projector was impractical (too many windows). Full HD (1080p) with BluRay source is incredible, for example BBC's Planet Earth series is… Read more
spectacular on the TV.
Fast action such as sport and motor racing shows little to no motion blur. The unit performs well in brightly lit rooms and has very good viewing angles. The LCD panel is not significantly affected by reflections due to it's matt finish.
Performance with gaming consoles (PS2 and Wii) is also good, the large screen immerses you in the games, racing games are excellent.
The performance with SD and HD TV broadcasts varies greatly and this is the fault of the broadcasting stations, the built in HD Tuner is quite sensitive.
I have a Western Digital HDTV Live media player connected via one of the 3 HDMI ports and with the right video source (720p or 1080p), the picture quality is very good.
The only complaint of this unit is the relaitively poor sound quality which is quite tinny, even when adjusting for maximum bass, the sound quality is quite harsh. I bypass the TV speakers and use a Yamaha subwoofer/satellite speaker system which improves audio performance immensely.
All in all, if you want a 40 to 50 inch LCD TV for less than a grand, have a close look at this unit, you'll be impressed. Picture quality, multiple inputs. Poor sound quality.
Good – I am amazed at the difference from my LG 32 Inch 1200x 786 pixel lcd panel, to the Sanyo 40 inch LCD 1080 makes a big difference along with the HDMI cables. But I am still undecided whether to take out an extended warranty as it only has 12 months. But the price overall I am happy with the product. Good value for money..... $597 at dicksmith for… Read more
the 40inch it was another $300 for the 42 inch.it's my first 1080p lcd panel. Has an Off/On switch at the side so no more standby if your concious of your electricity usage. Sound quality could be better......and remote buttons are hard to press. Not a glass screen, but that will always affect the price.
It's ok – Picture and sound is good, remote takes ages to respond and you have to be pointing it directly at the tv on the right angel! the remote after a year has stopped working and if you slightly touch the power cord the tv loses power and is very fiddly to get back on! It's a big tv and was cheap! Cheaply made. only made to last the warranty.

Excellent – I bought this to put in my rumpus as a kids daytime tv.. Beuatiful pictue I would almost say it is as equal to my 40" samsung full 1080p .. $599.00 from dse. Seriously if u can get pasted the epg you wont look back.. awsome picture quality nice sound easy to use menus. I have 2 other samsungs and their EPG is a lot easier to use. Sanyo only give you the channel that u are viewing. Which is abit useless.. Show reply
Good – Mine is actually a 28" one, but similar features with this model. A decent product in terms of robustness, considering I have small kids at home. Highly recommended for value hunter. Robust, tough, no frills design, have a hard switch to turn the TV completely ON/OFF, less expensive compared to other big brands, picture quality OK. Buttons… Read more · 1
position on remote could be better and making sense, not a full HD (but understandable as the price is low).
