Total waste of money – Brushed stainless steel exterior and lid surround looks great on brand new pan. One use and it looks hideous. pan. Poorly designed and wrecked by assembly with pointy metal ‘spikes’ grabbing onto washcloth. Reviews submitted to scanpan.com.au do not get approved so you never see the negative feedback.

Update 8Nov23. ScanPan (Sheldon and Hammond) sent replacement lid under warranty. IT WAS WORSE THAN ORIGINAL. The handle screw was far more wrecked and had pointy metal spikes. I decided to just fix myself so took handle of lid to file/sand screw face down to remove all metal spikey bits. Quality of assembly shocking with it just being forced in out of alignment and tearing rubber grommet. See pics. Following night cooked some kransky snags (melamine spatula, oxo good grips rubber end tongs). A piece of the non-stick surface just broke away. See pic. as you can see if not a scratch from any metal cookware. Send pics to Sheldon and Hammond but no response at all.
