Schlage S-480

It is a basic but strong look. Because it is basic, it doesn’t have WIFI, voice or Bluetooth that can all be hacked into. It is a simplistic lock to iinstall and use. I brought the first after my son locked me out of the house for the second time. Since then I have been able to get back in without a mechanical key (twice).
After a year I decided to get a lock with some additional features but after trying 3 non-Schlage locks, I decided to buy the same unit that I currently have.
I haven’t looked back since.
Follow-up · Not having a mechanical key has been a relief. The other day I locked my keys to the car inside and I was wondering how to get inside. No key, no problem. Just use the key code. New locks have all the bells and whistles (at a price) but I have found that I didn’t need them. I did choose a Samsung lock earlier but returned it - I needed an extra thick door, then the other Samsung lock I tried had trouble getting installed (it had a known software fault that even Samsung couldn’t fix). I’ve used the Schlage lock for a while and would happily replace all door locks with this brand.
Purchased in for $420.
Drains battery in one and a half days – Product looks good, has nice extra features like alarm, manual locking/unlocking. However it drains the batteries so quick, you need to carry a 9v battery with you at all times (emergency power to unlock the door), I am scared that I'll leave my house and won't be able to get back in.

The excellent company behind this product sent me a new one, had no issues since, I must have gotten a lemon!
