cat owner for 72 years – Xlnt for my 2 x cats. no fleas. no scratching. Lasts 8 months. I always use these. No issues re cats alergic to them. Easy to put on. BE AWARE. There are plenty of fakes going around, and they are cheap and may cause problems with the cat re poisoning. The correct ones are only at vets (online and shops). They are around $45+ each. Show details

Product states 8 months protection but it barely vlcovers 3 months. Excessively expensive for a piece of rubber dipped in flea powder. I don't recommend you waste your money on this product! Show details

I recently found a tick on my cat so purchased a new seresto collar as I assumed the previous one she was wearing had expired. Not 5 days after I purchased the new Seresto collar and put it on my cat, I pulled a massive paralysis tick off her. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK. Show details

Our Burmese Boys are tick and flea free with silky coats – I have two 6 yr old Burmese cats who go outside in our enclosed courtyard garden and rockery. We live in an area renowned for ticks. The cats have been using these collars for 4 years. I change them every 6 months. I also comb them regularly with a fine comb, neither of them have had any ticks or fleas since I have used the collars. I cut any… Read more

excess collar off when the collar is done up, and if they get caught on a tree, fence etc, the cats wriggle out.. Any collar or tick product is the responsibility of the owner to use in a safe way according to directions and check it regularly and the animals for side effects. If there is a problem deal with it immediately.

I wish I could use a collar on myself as unlike my cats I frequently find a tick on myself.

This killed my cat. DO NOT BUY – I put this on my cat in Jan 2021. In 3 month’s she was dead. The collar somehow, got stuck, she tried to release herself. It cut her throat badly and she died of her wounds. The collar stayed in tact. It was covered in her blood and hair. I complained to the company but they denied everything. Don’t make the mistake I made. Please save your cat. Don’t buy this death collar.  Show details

My fur babies are flea free – Personal experience ,we purchased Seresto collars last year, had wonderful results with our 3 adult babies. We live in the Florida panhandle Hot, Humid & Hurricanes. Since our initial use we have added to our family and I just purchased eight of the Seresto collars for our kittens which are 5 months of age and additionally five adults ranging in… Read more

age from 1 -12 yrs. The only problem that I have seen has been that the collars have gotten caught on bottom jaw of their mouth, only on the Kittens, never on adults. Also, the collars were tightened but not completely tight because the kittens are in a growing stage that results in the additional collar surplus to remain so that it can be adjusted as they grow. As a suggestion place an additional clip on the colors that we could use in this instance with growing kittens.

Beyond that, My heart breaks for anyone who has suffered a loss or injury as a result of this product or any flea product. The EPA should be strongly monitoring the chemicals marketed for our animals. There position of not monitoring these products opens Pandoras Box of Less than Desirable people promoting products that have extremely dangerous chemicals and effects to both Pet Babies and Human. There is NO EXCUSE for there blatant failure to regulate these products. I strongly suggest doing your homework, look up the chemicals and read. Take into account Your Pets Health and Needs, once you've decided on a product (flea treatment) monitor your pet, closely!! Every product on the market has a down side, just like medications that Drs prescribe to us, the key is choosing medication/ product that has least side effects, and most reviews. Read reviews as well and keep a logical, Open mind. Some people may have put these colors on after they had treated them with other flea medication which could have caused a severe reaction. Follow directions/ instructions exclusively. In closing do your research, keep an open mind and monitor your babies.

Respectfully , Shelia (Crazy Cat Lady Wanna Be)

Both Cats Have Bad Skin Reactions – Wish I had read other people's reviews here first! I bought two of these to put on both my cats as one of them absolutely hates getting liquid applications. After only three days both cats have red, bloody rashes around the neck. Seresto does warn that in "rare" cases cats may have a bad reaction to the collar, and in that event, the issue… Read more

"should" spontaneously resolve, but both my cats, totally unrelated? Involving what look like open wounds? Doing some research online about this, I find that I am hardly the only one with this issue. Come on, Seresto, this is just ridiculous! These collars cost around $50 each and at that price with the risk of this kind of reaction, this product should never have been put on the market. Now on top of the $100 I've spent on the collars, I'm going to have to spend another $100 on visits to the vet.

EDIT: I contacted Seresto Customer Care and to their credit they took me very seriously, told me to remove the collars ASAP (already had) and recorded an "adverse event" to be reported to regulatory authorities. They also organized a refund for me, so I'm happy at least that this isn't something they just try to fob off.

Got rid of our long running flea problem – We bought a ragdoll kitten not knowing she was infested with fleas. The breeder put flea drops on her before we took her home and whilst we saw them dying and dropping off, the drops did not entirely kill them all. Come last summer (after holiday and kitty in boarding) we come home to fleas jumping everywhere in our house. An utter nightmare. We… Read more

vacuumed tirelessly, treated the cat over and over, threw out everything we could and flea bombed. We had treated the cat with 2-3 DIFFERENT brands of drops and still she had fleas. By now we had spent $100s. Finally at the point of getting rid of the cat, we were told about these collars. Thought after all the $ already wasted (including the cat!) We would try it and at $70 it better work. Finally we ARE flea FREE. The collar must break the infestation cycle (even after bombing new fleas must still have been in the house). So icky and we honestly keep a clean house. This collar is only thing to have worked for us and thank goodness as we were so close to giving away our kitty.

It worked well for my cats – So glad it worked so well for my cats. had been dealing with Flea issues. tried using many expensive products. not any of them worked on my cats. pills and liquids only last for a few days. so I gave it a shot for these products, even there are mixed positive and negative reviews on this product. Best spend ever, has been 4 months using, not a single flea on them.  Show details

Been using for 4 years and love – I first used this on my elderly cat, who is now 19, and it worked great. The next year we rescued 2 kittens and I have used these collars with all the cats for past 3 years. Kills Flea Infestation Quickly – My cat had a flea problem for around 8 months. I used drips from Advantage and Revolution, plus a tablet from the vet. All to no avail. Also used daily bathing with flea shampoo, but the infestation was just getting worse. In desperation, I tried this Seresto flea collar, and they cleared in days. every day. Noticed a small skin rash where the collar was touching his skin, so I moved the collar to below his other collar, so that it didn't touch so much, and this seems fine now. I check him every day for side effects, but after a month he seems ok, and thank goodness no more fleas! Great product worked where others failed. Just watch the side effects. I don't think it can cause cancer quickly, but my cat is old, so just happy to get ride of those fleas.

Been using for 5 years and perfect, today my Cat died from 3 ticks (2 month old collar on her) – We live on the nasty northern beaches (tick wise) but Seresto has been our saviour for 2 cats for 5 years. Beware. Observe your cat for side effects – Used the collar on both our cats who are litter sisters. One became listless and little interest in food. Lost 20% of her body weight in a few weeks. Changed her foods and still uninterested in most things. Gave her a very good check over for joint or other problems. Nearly killed one cat, injured my other one – Bought these collars and put them on both my cats. Within days they had become listless and unhappy. This collar cause my 2 year old cat – Put this collar on my cat 4 months ago. He was in perfect health and had no issues but the fleas all over him. acting differently, thought maby he ate somthing he shouldn't have and it will pass. Day 2 was more concerning he would not walk or get up to eat or even use the restroom. Day 3 we had enough and got him to the vet. He stayed overnight to be examined in the morning. Day 4 (today) we get the call that our cat has severe lung cancer and his lungs are cracking and needs to be put to sleep. My cat was in perfect shape untill that collar came into the picture. 4 months ago these chemicals seeped through his skin into his bloodstream and to his lungs which caused this excruciating disease alternatively killing my cat with a slow painful death. I do not recommend anyone use these collars on any of their animals. It may get rid of the fleas but it also gets rid of your fur buddie. I will never use these collars on any of my pets ever again id rather give them a bath for 15 years every week than loose them after 4 months to a collar that clearly needs to be taken off the market

Not good – Brought the Seresto collar for my cat, because I wanted him to be able to go outside. Put it on and decided to let him wear it for 24 hours before letting him out. Good but break away feature should be looked at and upgraded – The collar works amazingly well but the break away feature needs to be looked at because they don’t break away. Wounded from Seresto collar – I wish I had read these other reviews first because my cat also received a sore on his neck. The collars work fine on my 5 cats but the 6th is allergic – After a week of one of my six cats wearing its seresto collar, it’s neck became hairless with sores developing. It is a great product. I have used on 4 of my older cats for 5 years. I have 2 recently rescued and one is allergic. So make sure your cat is ok after a week. If not please don’t use.

Extremely disappointed – We have a male cat with no scruff. He adapted fine to the collar which we purchased two weeks ago. I noticed yesterday that he wasn't acting himself. Best flea & tick treatment – Bought this after it was recommended by my sister who's a vet nurse. I've used Seresto on 3 different cats for nearly 18months and none have ever gotten fleas or ticks. hair where the collar touches but that's due to it rubbing and it isn't noticeable. I highly recommend seresto because it lasts so long and the price has dropped since they were first brought out so o me, it's worth the money. Some cats will have reactions to products. My advice would be to try and see if it's ok for your cat. I personally love it and prefer a little fur loss than a flea infestation. Highly recommend.

It was Great while it Lasted – My cat was riddled with fleas (if I parted her fur on her head, I was guaranteed to see at least one flea, usually more). (head part test; no fleas) and after having the collar for approximately one month, her fleas have disappeared. However the only downfall was that we had to remove the collar yesterday as she developed a sore on her neck but it was worth the one month’s grace of not seeing my cat go crazy by scratching & biting herself every five seconds.
